Your POV

I made it to the room that Ironwood had given to me and went inside. I locked the door behind me, set Phoenix Fury by the door, and took off my cape, my jacket, and shirt. I set my HCA on the nightstand and went to the balcony. I pulled out a cigarette and lit it with my semblance. I blew out some smoke and said to myself, "I hope this mission doesn't take too long." Since that day, I had picked up the habit of occasionally smoking. I had also begun to prefer working alone, because if I'm by myself, then I don't have to worry about losing anyone else. When I finished the cigarette, I used my semblance to burn up the cigarette completely to ash. I sighed once more and went back into the room. I laid down on the bed and eventually drifted off to sleep.

The Next Morning

I was woken up by a loud banging on my door. I sighed as I got up, put my shirt on and answered it. I opened the door to reveal Winter standing there. She looked at me and said, "You need to get ready. Our Dropship leaves in 15 minutes." I rolled my eyes and said, "Alright. Give me a minute." I shut the door and started getting ready. I put on my jacket and my cape, I placed my HCA on my ear and put Phoenix Fury on my back. I opened the door and said to Winter, "Okay, let's go." She rolled her eyes and started to walk to wherever our Dropship was. I followed her and eventually we arrived at the Dropship. We boarded and we took off. I sighed and said, "So what exactly is this mission?" She took a deep breath and said, "We received word about the location of a major gang leader that's been causing chaos in Mistral. His gang, known as The Shadows Of Grimm, have been committing multiple crimes, such as murder, robbery, smuggling, narcotics dealing, destruction of property, and kidnapping. The Mistral Police Force, along with the Council of Mistral, have asked Atlas for help in taking down this criminal and his followers." I nodded and said, "So this gang leader, he got a name?"

Winter scoffed and replied, "Yes. His name is Cedric Diam. Our intel suggests that he will be going to a club later tonight then heading to a possible narcotics drop. Your job is to keep watch from nearby while I go inside the club to get a location on him and follow him to the drop. If all goes well, I'll be able to get Cedric to lead us to the drop and arrest him." I rolled my eyes and said, "Easier said than done. Do we have any backup?" She shook her head and replied, "No, the less men with us, the less unwanted attention we're likely to get." I nodded and said, "Sounds just fine to me. Let me know when we get there." And with that, I leaned back and closed my eyes.

Winter's POV

As soon as he closed his eyes, I thought to myself, It's a wonder that he's not been killed by his carelessness. I let out a small sigh and just waited for us to arrive in Mistral. After about 2 hours, I heard the pilot say, "Specialist Schnee, we have arrived." I nodded as I stood up and proceeded to shake Y/N's arm to wake him.

Your POV

I was woken up by Winter and she said, "We're here." I nodded and stood up. We made our way to a hotel to get ready. I sat down at the desk in the room and began to load Phoenix Fury with ammo after making sure that the firing mechanisms were all in pristine working condition. As the sun started to set, Winter knocked on my door. When I opened it, I noticed that she was wearing a more casual outfit than her usual military outfit. She looked at me and said, "How do I look? I won't stand out too much, would I?" I just looked up at the ceiling and said, "In my opinion, you should be able to fit in just fine, if you let me make one slight altercation." Winter replied, "And what's that?" I sighed and said, "Maybe undo a button or two. Kinda pop your top. Otherwise you'll seem really uptight and official. Just saying, that's my opinion." She frowned at me before undoing a couple buttons on her top. Then she said, "Better?" I nodded and said, "Yep. Now let's get going."

When we got to the club, I went to the rooftop across the street and activated my HCA to help me better use my scope to keep an eye on Winter. Despite her appearance, she still had her strict and serious demeanor. I talked into the earpiece and said, "Winter, you needed to be more relaxed. Your usual demeanor will blow your cover." She discreetly replied, "Fine. Now just keep quiet." I rolled my eyes and continued my lookout. After a while, I heard Winter discreetly say, "I've got a visual." I replied, "10-4." She kept her distance as to not be suspicious. But something started to feel off. It seemed a little too easy. But it was just a gut feeling, and I didn't have anything to back it up, so I just decided to ignore it. After a little while longer, Cedric started to leave the club and I said, "Target is on the move." I kept an eye on Cedric while Winter left the club. Once she was clear of the building, she said, "Okay, I'm outside, what's his 20?" I reported, "He's a couple of clicks to the Southeast. I'll watch your 6." She responded, "Copy that." After we followed him for a few more miles outside of the city limits, I noticed that we were completely out of Scroll range of the city. This part of Anima had no connection with any of the CCT Towers nearby as it was too far out of range. I took a mental note of this and continued to watch Winter's back.

After we had gone another 10 miles, my HCA dinged and its display read: "18 POSSIBLE HOSTILES NEARBY." I was about to warn Winter but before I could, I heard a gunshot which was followed by a bullet whizzing by my head as I rolled to the side to dodge it. I saw 8 guys standing there with a killer intent. I converted Phoenix Fury into its sword configuration and proceeded to clash weapon with the gang members.

Winter's POV

I heard the gunshot and then saw Cedric approach me. He smirked and said, "Ah, Miss Schnee. I'm afraid that this mission of yours is based on false intel that I made sure the General would find. Quite simply, I led you into a trap. One that you won't escape from alive. I'm so sorry for your partner." I grabbed for my swords and began to fight the 10 gang members that surrounded me. Being outnumbered, I eventually was disarmed with a bad stab wound in my side. I had managed to kill 6 of the 10 members before I was stabbed by one of them. I noticed another member approach Cedric with a familiar green sniper rifle in his hand. He said something to Cedric. The gang leader smiled and said, "Well, Miss Schnee, it appears that while my men were fighting your partner, he managed to kill all but one before being killed. I've got to admit, I had no idea that you had the Phoenix with you. Apparently one of my men recognized him. I'm glad to know that not only will I have taken out an Atlas Specialist, but also a full-on Huntsman." I gasped and continued to hold the wound in my side. Then I saw the man that was holding Y/N's weapon use it to stab Cedric in the chest, killing him in the process. The man took off his outfit, revealing himself to be Y/N in disguise. Then as he approached the other members, I felt myself pass out from my wounds.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
