it takes both karl and sapnap an hour to explain everything to karl's parents. though karl's father wasn't around most of the time, he sat there sharing the same look of disbelief that was written all over his mom's face. it took a lot of convincing for his mom to even believe the idea that sapnap was actually real. after everything that had happened up to this point, karl felt confident that he now had them at least halfway convinced.

"well, now that the conversation is done, i'm going back to sapnap's family's camper for the night. it will give you guys plenty of time to talk and think everything over," karl said as sapnap grabbed him by the wrist before standing up. sapnap led karl off the camper porch as they began to walk on the gravel road that went by all the campers. sapnap pulled him along in the night toward a familiar-looking camper.

"you guys look like a mess," a british voice called out from the porch, causing sapnap and karl to look in the direction of the voice.

they only found george curled up against dream's side, who put his phone down to give all his attention to the two boys standing in front of him and his own lover.

"wow, thanks guys," sapnap rolled his eyes, removing the grip from karl's wrist before placing his hand around his back, pulling the male to his side.

"but you do seem a lot happier nick. i would have never thought karl would be the dreamer boy, though it makes much more sense now," dream replied, "we're probably gonna stay out here for a little while longer."

"okay, we're gonna go ahead and go inside," nick said to his friends before guiding karl inside of the camper. karl gently shut the door behind them.

sapnap wasted no time whirling around to cup karl's face, bringing him into a soft kiss. he melted into it, wrapping his arms around sapnap's neck. sapnap broke away so they could catch their breath.

"i don't know how i will be able to handle you leaving. i could barely wait til we got back here to kiss you again," sapnap whispered.

"i saw you being anxious and staring at me," karl teased with a smirk.

sapnap kissed him once again. "how could i not? you're too pretty and i don't want to share with anyone else."

"shut up. you're being too cheesy," karl laughed softly.

sapnap's hands slide down to rest around his waist, holding him close. karl ducked his head into the crook of sapnap's neck, his nose brushing against the warm skin.
"do you think they bought it?" karl murmured, his voice barely audible from his position.

sapnap hummed before karl felt a kiss pressed against his head, "i'm not sure, but it doesn't matter. you're here now, so i don't give a fuck about what anyone else has to say."

karl laughed before hugging sapnap tighter. he doesn't know what he will do when he has to leave. he wouldn't mind spending the rest of his life in sapnap's embrace, pressed into him, warm and content. karl's mind began to wander to how he was going to tell his friends about this. a surprise facetime call could work where they get introduced suddenly before karl hung up. karl began to giggle just thinking about it.

"what has you laughing angel?"

"nothing, don't worry about it," karl giggled.
