PIC OF JENNIFER ABOVE

1 Week Later.

ANDREA

"Andrea, I prepared lunch dear. You should eat something." Emily's voice ranged my ears as I was lazily sprawled on my bed.

"Leave it in the dining table, Emily. I am not hungry now." I muttered. She sighed and left the room as she knew it will a waste of time to fight with me.

Since Adam was not here, she only come here to clean the house and feed me. Yes, you heard it right, that idiot of my husband left me all alone to France the next day itself after the encounter in his office. It's been one week and there was no sign of him.

I spent the whole week just being inside itself  and not going anywhere. The only reason I was probably still alive was because Emily came regularly to check on me and feed me even after I told her not to bother most times, the lady was stubborn but  I was grateful. Her food was amazing though.

My phone rang and Kate's name popped up but I didn't pick up.  I know every one was worried about me, because there was a list of missed calls and unseen messages from my family and friends. I hadn't stepped out of the house because of the paparazzi as they were suspicious of Adam's sudden departure to another country instead of going for a honeymoon.

This wasn't me.  I wasn't full of self pity and I as sure as hell didn't allow a man to judge my life.

I decided I was going back to work from Monday regardless of everything I would probably face. I switched on my phone and dialled Kate.

"Hey best friend." I said with a smile.

"Drea! What the hell? Where are you? What happened to you? Do you know how much we all are worried without knowing your whereabouts?" She asked all at once.

" One at a time baby. I am fine and I am in Adam's penthouse."

" Exactly! You are here but your husband is out of the country. Do you know that the media is already suspicious about it?"

"I know. Can we please don't talk about it." I asked in a pleading tone.

"Sure. So what's up?"

"I need a favour."

" Ask right away." She said instantly.

" Let's go to a club and have drinks. I need to forget."

"First, you don't drink Drea. Second, it's not good for your health, and third to forget what?" She dictated.

I sighed. "I know but I need to forget everything. Just for tonight. Pretty please." I whined.

"Okay fine. Just text me your address." She said.

"Yesssss.... Thank you, Kate. I love you so much." I said excitedly.

"Love you too babe."

I chuckled and hung up. Lifting myself from the bed, I walked into the bathroom. I decided to take a long bath.

After spending one hour in the bath tub, I exited the bathroom. Kate will be here only after 5, and the clock reads 3 in the afternoon, so I decided to watch a movie.

Watching Cinderella for 50th time, I by heart most of the dialogues.  I got up and walked towards my wardrobe to find a perfect dress for tonight. Since, most was either professional or classy nothing suited for a party night. I sighed and concluded that I should really change my wardrobe.

The doorbell rang indicating someone's arrival. I checked the time only to realise it was half past six. I went to the front door and opened the door only to find my best friend standing with shopping bags in her hand. I opened the door wider to let her in.
