"Seriously Gaia? You're wearing another white dress? I mean our rings aren't even real diamonds," I laughed at the expression on her face.
I'm still tied to a chair and at nights she chains me to the bed. Great. But I've seen parts of the house, from most of the views I can see we are not in the US anymore, it's fucking cold every second of the day and it snows which must mean she brought me to Santa Claus land or Russia.
"Once we move locations I'll get us a new pair of rings, you don't have to worry about that, husband," she giggled.
"Might I remind you that our marriage is completely null and void since I'm married to the most majestic woman in the universe?" I smirked, tilting my head.
She rolled her eyes "I've seen pictures of her and Mariano, they seem pretty happy together, don't you think?" a smirk played on her lips.
"They're like siblings and if you're trying to make me feel jealous then you're in for a big disappointment," I said looking at the plate of food in front of me which is a disgusting bowl of borscht; I've never been a fan of beetroot.
Alina joined us wearing a short pink dress and pigtails "You have got to be kidding me," I groaned, looking at the ceiling desperate to get out of here once and for all.
"You like it, daddy?" she asked, sitting across my lap.
I gazed at her with a smile on my face "It's fucking hideous on you, although if you were my wife I would bend you over the window and fuck you until sunset."
"But I am!" Gaia said pushing Alina off of me.
I laughed at Alina on the floor "I mean my actual wife, the one that will be soon walking through that door and putting a bullet between your eyes. First time your brain won't be hallow."
Gaia growled, gripping my jaw "Why can't you love me?"
I raised an eyebrow "There's nothing to love."
She let go of my jaw and left the room for a couple of seconds until she came back with a yellow envelope in her hand, then she pulled out a shiny white paper "Tonight you will have sex with me, do you understand?"
"What if I don't? You're going to keep on torturing me with those stupid attempts to seduce me?" I tapped my feet on the ground, humming the song from my first dance with Arabella.
"No," she smiled "I'm going to kill your baby and its mother," a picture of Arabella on the terrace of the safe house was now across my lap; rage instantly took over me. No one is supposed to get that close to her which means one or some of my men are working for Gaia.
"You even think about harming her and I'll dip your head in boiling acids!" I shouted in desperation; my hands ached due to my deep wishes of strangling her.
Gaia giggled in my ear before biting it. Ew. The next picture was of a small dead body, an image that will never leave my mind even if I fight it for the rest of my life: my sister laying on the floor of a gloomy warehouse with a bullet between her eyes and a pool of blood around her head. I immediately looked away but a man approached me to grip my jaw and force me to look at the horrific scene that has shaped my entire life.
"Do you remember this day?" she whispered into my ear, making me flinch at her hot breath.
My mind took me to that very day.
My sister and I were in the backyard, playing with a couple of puppets we made out of socks and buttons we found under our parents' bed; this was after everyone had left our birthday party. My pregnant mother was in the house, putting the triplets down to bed and Armani was playing with his new puppy as our nanny read a book by the pool. A few minutes into our game, Armani threw a ball into the bushes by accident and the puppy refused to go get it so Artemis did, I ran after her because what one did the other copied. Once in the bushes, she smiled showing me the red ball and suddenly someone came from behind and took her so I ran after them, begging to let her go but instead they took us both.
