*Flashback*
Y/n's POV
I wake up in darkness. It surrounds me like a fog, pulling me away from the light. It's cold, as it always is in the Lab.
A buzzing sound comes from the room next to me, along with a scream. My dark room lights up as my hand produces a blue light. I gasp, trying to put it out.
'Kali!' I cry, pounding on the wall between us. 'Kali! Kali!' There's no response. A muted yell travels through my eardrums. 'No!'
Footsteps echo outside my room, and I hear several voices speaking in hushed town. The light flicks on, extinguishing my energy light as Brenner walks in.
'Five,' A cold, calculating voice chides from the doorway. 'We do not yell.' I simply glare in his direction, narrowing my eyes. 'I do not know where you got the name Kali from, but that is Eight.'
'No.' I shake my head, lowering my head.
'Disobedience will not be tolerated.' Brenner says firmly, stepping into the room. 'Have you forgotten such?'
I slide back onto my small bed, feeling the scratchy blanket below me. 'No.'
'Good. We will continue training tomorrow. Your telepathy is weak.' And with that, the door shuts, engulfing me in darkness once more.
