Lance POV:

I woke up in a lot less pain he must have put that numbing ointment I found on my stomach. I was achy but for some reason I felt warm and safe. I realized it was because Keith was holding me. My memories came flooding back the pain, the breathing, and Keith comforted me until I fell asleep. He was asleep now but one of his hands was on top of my head and the other was wrapped under my arms on my chest. I needed to stretch but the last thing I wanted to do was to leave his arms. I hate sleeping alone so I was happy. But it was a new type of happiness. I suppose I always had some feelings for Keith but I always knew he would never go for someone like me. I knew that a moment like this was fleeting that he would wake up and we would be rivals again. I hated it. I wanted to be something more to him but he would never feel the same. I let myself relax back on his chest. He stirred and I could tell he was awake. "Are you awake?" He said with a sigh. "Yea" He placed a hand on my back and moved himself off the bed. He stood up with his back to me, "umm about last night I'm...uh" "Thank you" "What?" "Thank you for helping me fall asleep." "It was no problem really I just-" "What's that?" I cut him off before he could ramble any more pointing at the containers in the corner. He quickly looked over and turned back to me. "Oh yea I found a river and brought back some water for us" Us. "Thats awesome. So what's the plan, how are we gonna survive here." His face lightened up. "Well all we really need to thrive here is some way to grow food and some way to filter water." he spent a moment thinking his eyes at the ceiling. "My dad taught me a way to filter water with a water bottle and some other stuff. I just need some supplies." "I have been a farm kid my whole life all we need is some sort of seeds or plants and that could work." "Hopefully we won't be here long enough to see stuff grow" "I'm sure we won't be Pidge will find us whether we like it or not." He laughed quietly but he laughed. The room felt lighter like we finally had some hope.
