[Smut Warning]

It was officially Friday—date day. Both of them were anxious; Camila in an excited way and Shawn more in a nervous way. To be fair, he had been incredibly excited until the very real possibility that the night could potentially end in sex crossed his mind. Not knowing what else to do, he confided in his best friend Brian as they both stood in Shawn's store organizing racks of vinyls.

"So..." Brian wiggled his eyebrows. "Tonight's the big date night, right? Are you hyped?"

"Yeah." He tried to say it confidently but the crack in his voice sold him out. He sighed and slouched his shoulders. "I'm nervous."

"Why? It's not like you guys haven't gone out before. Besides, you're practically already dating."

"It's not the date I'm nervous about..." he admitted. "It's what could happen when we get back."

"Oh?" Brian responded with a suggestive tone and an eyebrow raised. "Since when is that something you worry about? I know it's been a while but we were roommates at one point. I'm well aware that you have plenty of experience. And it's not like you've never done it with her before."

"I know, I know," he groaned. "But...it's different this time. And it's been a while since I've done...that."

"Ah, performance anxiety. So what? You're worried about not being good at it? Or not lasting long?"

"Yes."

"Alrighty then," Brian chuckled. "How long has it been?" Shawn looked down timidly and shrugged.

"About three years."

"Good god." Brian was somehow both shocked and also not surprised at all. "You haven't been with anyone else since...?"

"No," Shawn plainly replied.

"Okay...well I'm sure there's no need to worry. You'll be fine. What about getting some of those pills that—"

"No!" he adamantly answered. "I'm not taking any pills. I've heard too many horror stories and if I'm going to embarrass myself I would rather it not be that way."

"I take it that means you're also opposed to those weird numbing sprays guys use beforehand?" Brian suggested. Shawn thought about it for only a brief moment before shaking his head.

"Definitely no numbing spray. I still want to be able to feel it."

"Well then my advice would just be to go for it and whatever happens, happens. I'm sure it's been a while for her too. She's probably just as nervous. Just enjoy each other; you guys have been waiting too long for this just to let some dumb nerves get in the way."

"I guess you're right," Shawn sighed. "As much as I'm glad that we decided to not jump into a relationship right away, I'm also more than ready to just...be with her. I've almost accidentally referred to her as my girlfriend so many times."

"I mean let's be real: you guys were still pretty much together even when you weren't." Shawn snorted and rolled his eyes before pointing at the mess of vinyl records next to his best friend.

"Get back to stacking."

Camila could hardly sleep the night before because she was so excited for their date. However as the hour approached she found herself getting more and more anxious. She spent more time than she would've liked to admit picking out an outfit before settling on something that was both sexy and simple; a low-cut, cherry red sweater with a lacy black bralette underneath it. She paired it with a pair of black pants and her favorite black booties. She made sure to pick out shoes that had a heel high enough that she wouldn't have to crane her neck back to look at her date all night.
