Chapter 1 - party gone wrong

I always thought I'd have a normal life and a happy future. But all that changed when me and my friends committed a crime...
We accidentally killed someone.
                          
Let me explain. 
A few years ago in high school we decided it'd be fun to have a party by the lake with a few friends. 
                          
"Nothing beats hanging out with your friends, by your favourite spot!" Said Chloe. Chloe was the shortest of the group but if u mess with her let's just say she'll kick your ass. She has short brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. 
                          
"You said it" commented Ashlynn the rockstar of the group. She grew up loving music she would win every talent contest in our school. She has side shaved long black hair with purple tips and silver eyes. 
                          
"We should thank Daniel, he suggested we should come here for the party" mentioned Daisy. Daisy was the art lover she loved painting and sketching everyone in school. She has long blonde hair and one blue eye and one green eye. 
                          
"Please I can't take all the credit. What about Jake? He's the one who suggested this party before we graduate great idea by the way" said Daniel. Daniel where do I begin. He was the jock. The jock who had girls all over him. He likes to think of himself as the strong one I think of him as the self-centred one but he's still my friend. And also can I mention he has a crush on Daisy. He has dark black hair, a red streak and light blue eyes.
                          
 "It will be good to hang out with my friends before I go to New York" said Jake. Jake is the science guy he loves biology and chemicals he always laughs while testing a experiment like a mad scientist. It's kinda scary sometimes. He has neon blue hair and blue eyes. 
                          
"New York? Wow big dreams you got there" chuckled Liam. Liam was a photographer and Chloe's boyfriend. He has long brown hair and green eyes.
                          
And then there's me. Blaire.
Everyone thinks of me as the nerd and the sweet and innocent girl who wouldn't hurt a fly. I can't say their wrong. I always focus on school and I would never cause harm to anyone. I have long brown hair and blue eyes. I'm also the type of girl who doesn't want to get into any sort of drama that was until I met my friends. Some girls smacked my books out my hands and kept calling me nerd as I picked them up. Then Ashlynn came up and said "why not go spend more of daddy's money miss sugar queen" then girls walked off. Ashlynn then helped me pick up my books and introduced me to everyone else. Ever since then we've been inseparable. My friends were the free spirited type and were very nice and fun. A lot of people call us the freak squad but they don't understand nothing will get in the way of our friendship.
                          
Then someone came up to us.
Ashlynn brought drinks for all of us. You might see me as the girl who wouldn't drink either. But what can I say a drink or two wouldn't hurt. While drinking someone came up to us. "Um who's there?" Asked Chloe. Daniel laughed "it's just Arthur, what are you doing here?" Arthur was the strange one at school. He didn't have any friends and I sometimes felt bad for him but I have to admit he was very weird. He had glasses, black hair and brown eyes. 
                          
"I-I'm sorry I didn't realise you guys were gonna be here but can I hang out with you guys?" Asked Arthur. 
                          
As much as we didn't want someone like Arthur hanging out with us we didn't want to be mean about it either. So we let him stayed. As the night carried on we talked, we laughed, we drank and we swam in the lake.
Daisy accidentally tripped over a empty bottle and Daniel catched her and they started to blush. Everyone knows how much they like eachother we all started cheering "ask her out!" And he did. She said yes I was so happy for those two.
                          
While we were swimming and having fun I saw Arthur sitting on the side. "Hey Arthur, why not join us?" Asked Daniel. 
                          
"Oh, I-I don't know" said Arthur
                          
"Oh cmon"
                          
While the rest of us were getting out Daniel kept trying to persuade Arthur to get in the lake. Soon after everyone tried persuading Arthur to get in.
Until they finally got him in.
                          
After they got Arthur in the water. We turned our backs for just a second but when we looked back to check on Arthur.
He was gone.
                          
"W-where did Arthur go?" Asked Chloe 
                          
"I have no idea" replied Ashlynn
                          
We all jumped back in the water searching for Arthur and calling out his name. But there was no sign of him. We couldn't deny this now
Arthur drowned because of us.
                          
Daniel started persuading Arthur and made everyone else join in, Ashlynn brought the drinks and I could've stopped all of this! But no. I just had to sit back and watch it all happen.
                          
Everyone was panicking.
"Oh. My. God" said Daisy "WE KILLED SOMEONE!" 
                          
"NO KIDDING! What are we going to do!?" Shouted Ashlynn 
                          
"Alright everyone calm down!" Shouted Liam 
                          
We all turned to Liam. 
                          
"Look, we can't go to jail for a accident. So let's agree on something" 
                          
We nodded slowly.
                          
"This never happened. We were at the park. We had no idea where Arthur was. And we had nothing to do with this. Agreed?"
                          
We all agreed.
After that we all got in our cars and drove away. I was on my way home thinking seriously did that just happen?! We just killed someone. And now we're covering it up? I don't want to worry but I feel like this will slowly come back to haunt us.
