"A fucking vampire? I swear to God this school is too visionary for its own good." A boy growled as he stepped into his new dorm room.

Louis stared at him in surprise. What the hell was his problem? Then an awful smell hit his nostrils. The whole room stank of wet rag. Louis wrinkled his nose.
"What's that awful smell?"

A blonde guy with twinkling blue eyes burst out in a loud cackle.
"Priceless! Come on guys, we're gonna live together. You have to try and get along even if you're natural enemies. Kiss and make up!"

The irritation he had felt a minute ago disappeared magically and he couldn't help but smile at the blonde boy. He made him feel at ease.
"I'm Louis."

"I'm Niall, the leprechaun." The boy grinned.

Louis was about to laugh at the joke but realized that he was serious.
"Wait, for real? That's so cool!"

"Thank you, vamp boy. Oh, look! A penny!" Niall shouted the last part excitedly and leaned down to pick it up.

Louis turned his gaze back to the rude boy.
"Does that mean you're a werewolf? Is that why I can smell your stench?"

"I don't stink!" The boy huffed.

Niall walked up to them and put his hands on their shoulders. Louis immediately felt calm and happy.
"I'm Liam." The werewolf finally introduced himself. It seemed like he was experiencing the same calming effect.

Louis took a step back to get away from Niall's touch.
"Hey, you totally changed my mood."

"Leprechaun, remember?" Niall grinned and winked at him.

A fourth boy came out of a room.
"What's going on out here? Oh, new dorm mate? Hi, I'm Zayn."

Louis looked at him suspiciously.
"And what are you? A unicorn?"

Liam snorted and rolled his eyes. Zayn smiled.
"I'm a warlock."

Before Louis could answer the door into their dorm opened and another boy walked inside. It actually looked like he was floating an inch from the floor. Louis stared at the boy with his mouth hung open. He looked other-worldly. His eyes were so green,  his hair was long and curly and he had dimples in both cheeks.
"Hi! I'm Harry." Even his voice sounded like a melody.

Liam, Niall, and Zayn introduced themselves and Harry shook their hands before he turned to look at him.
"A vampire? You're gorgeous."

"Ehm, thanks?" Louis answered. If he could blush he would.

Louis's eyes widened in absolute shock when two wings suddenly unfolded behind Harry. They seemed to be stuck to his back.
"Oh, shoot. I really need to learn how to control that." Harry giggled.

Louis stared at him in disbelief.
"Are you an Angel?"

Liam was barking out a laughter.
"There's no such thing as Angels. Seriously."

Harry furrowed his eyebrows, looking unhappy.
"Don't laugh at him, Liam. That's not nice. There's a difference between us and Louis. We were all born like this and we all grew up in our communities of magicals. We have known about our existence or whole life. Louis is a vampire, which means that before someone turned him, violated him, he had no idea about any of this."

Louis got emotional and tried to hide it. Liam looked remorseful.
"I never thought about it like that. I'm sorry Louis. I shouldn't have laughed."

"It's okay." Louis mumbled.

"When did you turn?" Zayn asked.

"Like a month ago." Louis answered.

"So you're really new to this. Shit!" Zayn said and Louis nodded his head.

"To answer your question, I'm not an Angel. I'm a fairy." Harry smiled.

"A fairy? Wow!" Louis said, feeling stupid.

All of a sudden that urge hit him like a punch in the stomach. The craving for blood. He panicked.
"Bathroom?"

Liam pointed to a door behind him. Louis grabbed one of his bags and rushed inside and locked the door. He found a bottle of fake blood and opened it with trembling hands. He downed the whole content at once. He took a deep breath and walked over to the sink to rinse his mouth. This should be disgusting. If he still had been a human he surely would have puked from that. Instead, he felt satisfied for the moment. Almost. There was this itching feeling that the blood he drank wasn't good enough. A vampire craved human blood. This was just a substitute and this was his so-called life now. He let out a deep sigh. It would take him a long time to get used to it. To accept it.

That anger towards his father shot through his veins again and he grabbed the sink. He yelped in surprise when he crushed the porcelain with his hands, leaving two gaping holes behind. He looked at his hands. No cuts. No blood.

There was a knock on the door.
"Louis? Are you okay in there?" Niall's voice was heard.

'Yeah, I eh..." He went to open the door.
"I kind of broke the sink accidentally."

Niall's presence calmed his nerves.
"That happens to the best of us. No worries." Niall smiled.

"I didn't know that I have that kind of strength." Louis said sheepishly.

"Okay, that won't do. Come on. You need a Vamp101, the speed version."  Niall said and grabbed his arm and pulled him against the living room area.

"Guys! We need to inform Louis about vampires." He shouted as they made their way to the living room.

The rest of the boys came out of their rooms and sat down.
"Vampires drink blood." Zayn smirked.

Louis rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, that part I've already figured out."

"You can't attack humans!" Liam said with furrowed eyebrows.

"No shit Sherlock! I'm not gonna attack anyone, come on!" Louis growled annoyed.

"Don't be so sure about that. You might not be able to control yourself so just stay away from humans until you can master that. You'll learn in school." Liam replied, more softly this time.

Louis sighed and dragged a hand through his hair.
"What else? I just broke the sink so I guess I have super strength?"

"I could take you in a heartbeat." Liam smirked.

"Yeah, right." Louis snorted.

"Vampires can hypnotize people, useful for sure but not very nice if you ask me." Harry's melodic voice was heard and Louis glanced at him.

"Really?"

"You're immortal, but I guess you already knew that." Zayn chipped in.

Louis let out a deep sigh.
"Yeah, that's even worse than the bloodthirst."

"Why? Sounds pretty cool to me." Niall chuckled.

"It sounds lonely. Everyone will eventually die except you." Harry said softly.

Louis looked up and they gazed into each other's eyes. He was a bit astounded over the fact that Harry understood.
"Exactly."
