"Okay class we are going to be going on the bus now to head to our place" your teacher announces
today is the second to last day of school and so your class is going on a field trip far away
you are super excited because the place is so cool AND you get to sit next to your best friend and crush, Jack
the bus arrives at your school and your teacher brings you all to it
you sit at the window seat and wait for Jack to come on
he has other friends in the class so it takes him a while
you finally see him coming on and you start to get extra excited but you try to hide it
he has no idea you like him which is great. he's naturally flirty so you guys are always flirting with each other.
"oh hey y/n," he says sitting down
"hey, jack. ready for a long ride"
"of course. I mean I get to sit next to my best friend"
"so you're not sitting with me?"
"damn y/n I thought we were best friends," he says fake pouting and you laugh
the bus starts moving and the ride starts
"I guess we can be. how long is this ride anyways?"
"two hours so I hope you don't get bored of me"
"that might be hard... I get bored easily"
"wow I see how it is"
"I'm just kidding. but I am really tired"
"well I have a shoulder right here for you" he points to his shoulder and smiles
"I'd rather use the window"
"well I'd rather sit with someone else"
"wow Jack that hurts me right here," you say pointing to your heart
"Woah I'm kidding"
"no no it's okay you can go sit with someone else" you turn to face the window pretending to be sad
"wait y/n I was joking," he says seriously and you turn back around
"I know I know"
"damn you scared me"
"oh I'm sure I did"

you guys have been driving for an hour and suddenly you become really tired
you and Jack have been talking a little bit but by now it's mainly stopped
since you are tired and there's enough time left you decide to take a nap
as you fall asleep you feel yourself lay on Jack's shoulder
it's super comfortable so you don't move
in Jacks head, he is so happy
Jack has had a crush on you forever so this is like heaven to him
he silently takes a Snapchat picture and sends it to the boys with the caption "omg"
in your sleep, you shiver to be cold and he takes off his sweatshirt and lays it over you
you fall even deeper asleep and the ride continues

you start to slowly wake up and notice his sweatshirt is on you
"huh?"
"we're here, you fell asleep so I woke you up"
"oh... what's this?" you ask pointing to the sweatshirt
"you were cold so I gave it to you"
"oh thank you, Jack!"
"of course... by the way you DID you use my shoulder"
"what do you mean"
"earlier you said you'd rather fall asleep with the window and not my arm... well you slept on me"
"oh no! I'm so sorry Jack that's so embarrassing"
"Hey it's fine I liked it"
"well thank you. um can I tell you something"
"sure"
"uh, I kind of like you... I understand if you don't feel the same-"
"wait you do! I like you too!"
"really?"
"mhm. after we get back would you like to go on a date"
