Dream (Clay's) POV (first person)

I heard voices, they were nearby. They were following me, right? I gripped my sword tighter in my hand, and then I ran. (Or floated, whatever the fuck ghosts do.)

"Quick after him!" I heard one of them yell.

I wanted to get away from them. I didn't want to hurt them, yet something urged me to turn around and fight them.

Don't listen to them.

They won't help you.

None of them will.

Turn around.

Fight them.

It's the only way.

I was torn.

Uncertain of what to do.

I just kept running, I didn't turn back.

Yet after a while, I did. I did turn back. I did fight them. I didn't want to, but I had to. It was the only way. There wasn't another way.

It was all a blur, yet I could remember swords clashing together, yelling...and blood. I didn't know who's blood it was and I didn't want to know. Then, I felt pain in my left leg.

It burned in pain, how could they have hurt me? How was it possible to hurt a ghost? Night had already fallen, which was the best time to call the mobs. The mobs came to my side. Each of them glowed a faint green. They were under my control.

"You think you can stop me!?" I yelled at my friends, "You think you can get rid of these mobs?! More and more of them will just keep coming!"

"Dream just let us help you!" yelled Sapnap.

I laughed, "I don't NEED YOUR HELP! I DON'T NEED ANYONES HELP!"

"Dream this isn't you!" shouted George, I could see the pain in his eyes, "We can find another way to resurrect you if you'd just-"

"THERE IS NO OTHER WAY GEORGE! I SEARCHED AND SEARCHED FOR A DIFFERENT WAY AND FOUND NOTHING! YOU'RE JUST TO STUPID TO REALIZE THAT!"

George's POV (first person)

"YOU'RE JUST TO STUPID TO REALIZE THAT!"

You're nothing George.
.
.
.
He doesn't car for you.
.
.
.
He doesn't love you.
.
.
.
He lied.
.
.
.
HE lied!
.
.
.
HE LIED!
.
.
.

"Dream...this isn't you, you know that. Please, come back home with us, we can figure out another way. We can fix this. Please...just listen to me!"

Dream starred at me. The mobs had disappeared, which...I thought that meant that he finally listened to me.

But I was wrong.

He disappeared as well.

How could things go so wrong..?

Why won't he listen!?

Does...does he not care?

He does care for you.
.
.
.
Help him.
.
.
.
Make him listen.
.
.
.
Free him.
.
.
.

Free him....

From what..?

If he won't listen?

No...he will listen. He will realize what he's doing is wrong. We just need to help him see that. We can figure out how to resurrect him another way. There was another way...right? There had to be....I just know it.

We returned back to our homes. Ranboo had offered to take Tommy to a safe place, far away from here.

Tubbo wanted to go with him...but we didn't think it was a good idea. Tubbo fought with us until we finally managed to convince him to stay. We couldn't allow Tubbo to get hurt as well.

I made my way to my bedroom. The ring was in my hand once more. Why did things go wrong? Why did he have to die? Why couldn't things just go back to the way they were? We were happy. He wasn't dead. Things were perfect.

And it all went downhill.

Everything collapsed.

I was fiddling with the ring, my eyes burned from the crying I had done in the past hour. I turned to face my dresser where an alarm clock sat.

1:36 a.m.

I yawned. I got up and placed the emerald ring next to the clock. I walked over to my bed and collapsed onto it.

It took me a while to get comfortable, and as soon as I did, I let the sleep take over.

Tommy's POV (first person)

Ranboo and I have been walking for hours. We didn't bother to stop. Mobs would spawn here and there, but they didn't have the faint green glow like the ones that came when we encountered Dream.

Maybe he wasn't following us.

Or...maybe he was. Maybe he was waiting for the right moment to attack. I gripped my sword tighter. Sure the enchantments could potentially harm him, but that won't do enough. He literally whopped my ass when I challenged him to a sword fight seven months ago!! THAT FIGHT ONLY LASTED 4 MINUTES!!

"The village is not far off Tommy, we'll get there in a few minutes don't worry," Ranboo said, "I've already set up a house for you in the middle of the village."

"Thanks...."

***

I said in bed starring at the wooden floor. The faint light of the moon creeped in through the window. I gave up on unpacking. I wasn't tired, but everything ached from the long journey.

Faint tapping could be heard from outside, but I chose to ignore it. I held the disks tighter in my hands as if something were to come and take them. I didn't know how long I would be staying here. They never said how many days, weeks, heck, months I would be staying here. The only thing they said was "You'll be staying there until we help him."

Yeah good luck with that!

I had my compass that Ghostbur gave me sitting right next to me. It barely moved. I had just hopped Tubbo would be ok. He didn't really like the idea of me leaving.
