Be prepared this is a long chapter for no reason at all :)

We were all sent back to the Great Hall, which was now all cleaned up, and for some reason I was kept with the Gryffindors instead of being brought back to my own house. I assume it was due to security reasons but all I could do is guess.

Soon after we arrived the teachers and all of the students were led in by their house prefect.

None of us liked the idea of having to sleep on the hard floor, but it didn't seem optional. Dumbledore summoned large purple sleeping bags for us all to use while the prefects kept watch.

My spot was placed next to Hermione, Harry, and Ron. Every time I tried sneaking over to the Slytherin section to see Syd, Percy would glare and send me back, That git. You'd think he'd be more than happy to get rid of me.

"Alright everyone to your sleeping bags!" Percy shouted, the chatter around the Hall didn't quiet at all, making Percy roll his eyes, "Come on, now, no more talking! Lights out in ten minutes! You have to listen to me!"

"We get it Parsley, you're a prefect." He cocked his head to me sharply and his face morphed into an odd expression, was he trying to be scary or just look scary?

I laid down on the scratchy blanket, I truly wasn't tired. I think it had something to do with all the adrenaline running through me.

"Do you think that Black is still in the school?" Hermione whispered anxiously, as everyone tucked themselves into their sleeping bags.

"Well Dumble clearly thinks he is. He's having all the teachers search the castle," I shrugged.

"It's very lucky black picked tonight," said Hermione quietly, now that we were all covered up and propping our heads on our elbows, "The one night we were not in the tower..."

"Maybe he's just got bad timing," Ron suggested, yawning mid way though, "I mean if he had known it was Halloween he would've just come bursting in here during the feast."

I shuddered at the thought.

"Seriously, it's my first year here and he is making things a lot more difficult," I groaned, flopping down on my pillow. Which apparently wasn't really soft, so my head went down with a thump, "ow."

"Seriously..." Harry chuckled. We all looked to him in confusion, "you get it. His name is Sirius- never mind."

Many around us had the same questions as us. I could hear them each gossiping about it with their friends;

"How did he get in?"

"Did he apparate?"

"He probably flew in."

At that, Hermione let out a huff. "Honestly. Am I the only one who's ever bothered to read Hogwarts; A History?"

"I skimmed through it at the Leaky Cauldron," I said, earning a proud smile from Hermione.

Ron made a sound of disgust, "Yeah you two are the only ones."

"Why does it matter?" Harry chimed in.
