[ 11 ] - Lunch Break ~ Mishima Kazumi x Reader

                                    

                                          

     Just down the hall from here, it would be the teacher's lounge. And inside that teacher's lounge, at 12:25 PM on the dot, would be the infamous art and Japanese teacher. How do I know this? We keep meeting..
                          
     It wasn't that I was following him or anything. We just so happen to be in the same room, at the same time. Granted, we're both teachers but it always happen to be both of us. However, the lounge room always seem to be the spot. 
     He seems to be busy, scanning through several papers as well tending to his snack. It looks to be some wrapped sand-which. Simple yet nutritious. I inhale softly as I walk over to the assorted tables to grab a cup of coffee. As I wait, I curiously look over to the man.
     I merely eye him from the side as I am too nervous to really break the ice. Thinking about it, we've waved to each other, greeted once and awhile, and converse about school topics yet never going beyond that. 
     Oddly enough, he was more closer to his students than the other teachers. Others may say that's suspicious but I find it quite endearing. Not a lot of teachers can get to that 'level'.
     Before I knew it, I realized I've been staring a bit too hard at the man. I return my gaze back to the coffee. Our break was short but was enough time for anyone to eat and relax until the classes started back up again.
     I take my seat across from him as I scroll through my phone. What? This is break time, gotta get it out of my system at some point! Taking some sips from my coffee, I could see from my peripheral view that he was looking towards me. With a curious gaze at that. Before I could shake the nervousness away, he spoke up.
     "Mx. [Y/N], correct? The [S/S] teacher?" He asked with a gentle smile. My bones were shaking at it's core.
     "A-Ahah..Yes, I am! Professor Mishima as I recall?" Of course I knew his name. He was quite the interesting character. Not easy to forget.
     "Mwahaha, I see..Odd, isn't it?" He presses a one finger on his chin as his smile widens.
     "What is..?" I follow up, taking another sip of my coffee.
     "-How we've bumped into each other in several occasions yet never fully introduced each other!" So I wasn't the only one who noticed that...
     I nodded along as I wanted to let him continue. He took notice and proceeded carrying the conversation.
     "Though, not much for introductions as we work in the same school..mwaha- however, a curious thing, is it not?" I ponder on what he said.
     It was odd, how we never actually got to know each other. It was normal for teachers to get to know each other regardless of professionalism. I guess I was just nervous to speak to him. Not to mention his confident yet intimidating stature. 
     "It is..I've actually been wanting to talk to for awhile now, Prof—!" As I was about to say his name, my words were cut off. 
    "Oh please, call me Mister Kazumi..mwaha.." Blinking at his response, I ask him if he was sure. He smiled happily and nodded.
     "T-Then..Mister Kazumi, I've been wanting to get to know you better!" Fearfully, I felt like I was being too pushy. Or too forward, especially that we barely just started talking to each other. 
     A second later, the school bells ring. With a heavy heart, I felt like this conversation will be forgotten and that this progress will be lost in the sea of months. Frowning, I stood up from my seat but a chuckle echoed behind me.
    "I would gladly take up on that offer. How about when we're on our lunch breaks? We do always seem to meet up at this spot..." His smile never fading, my former frown curved into a reassuring grin.
     "That would be lovely!" At long last, the ice has been broken.

AISNDKDN it's 12:31 right now for me...!! BRO I NEED FO SLEEP— Sorry if this seems messy, my brain may not be functioning cuz of my fucked sleep schedule
