Hunter's POV:

When I wake up the next morning Rosa is still sleeping, her arms snuggled up against me where she's moved closer in her sleep. But the sight of her sleeping peacefully makes me smile, especially when I remember Eris said she'd had trouble in the past six months with nightmares. So much so that my beautiful girl contemplated suicide not once but twice. A thought that breaks my heart.

She moans in her sleep and moves even closer so she's almost lain on top of me and sighs when she finds a comfortable position, her dark hair spread across both of us when she moves. "You really have got to stop doing that," She mumbles, trying to hide her head under my arm. A sight that brings a wider smile to my face.

"Stop doing what Rosalie?" I try, seeing her narrow her eyes in the direction of the wall and mumble something about a 'traitor' who I can only assume to be Ash. "I'm sorry," I say in an attempt to appease her but she's unresponsive to me. "Rosa?" I nudge her shoulder playfully and see her eyes blink open with an awareness I hadn't seen before. "Were you even awake before?" I groan and she shoots me a puzzled look.

"Was I awake when?" She asks, looking at me with a frown on her face that I'm not used to seeing on her. She looks at me harder and I blink once. "Hello? Was I awake when?" She sighs, inspecting me closely. "Or are you asleep?" Sitting up partially she balances her elbows on her knees over the duvet and I frown at her. "Oh great, I don't think you're awake either."

Smiling to myself I pull her closer despite her protestation and kiss her once, feeling the electricity passing between us with a new intensity since our moment yesterday. I only mean it to be a quick, lingering kiss but the second our lips touch she pulls me closer and the kiss deepens all on its own until she eventually finds the strength to pull away, her eyes wild, hair messy and lips bright red and swollen with kisses. "Now do you believe you're awake?" I mouth and she nods once in a distracted manner. "Good, now come on I think we're needed today."

She stretches lazily like a cat on a wall in summer and rubs her eyes, her hair strangely looking almost provocatively mussed. Or maybe that's just my current train of thought following the not-so-innocent kiss that occurred seconds ago. "You're doing it again," Rosa sighs and I look at her with an uncomprehending expression that makes her giggle into her hands. "Stop it," She moans, hiding her face behind her hands. I keep looking at her, wondering what she's upset about - and after a few minutes, she peeks between her hands and groans when she sees I'm still looking at her. "Stop looking at me like that," She moans again and I frown. Like what? "Stop," She whines and I have to fight back a laugh. Seriously? What was I doing?

"What am I supposed to be doing?" I ask, reaching for her only to have her slip through my grasp and move towards the partially open bathroom door. Smiling at me over her shoulder she shuts the door and seconds later I hear the sound of water and wait for her to come back by silently moving on the bed so I'm out of the sight of the window - considering we didn't close the curtains yesterday. Oops. Making sure I'm ready when she comes out so I collect my clothes from where they ended up last night and wait to hear the sound of the lock releasing on the door.
