Chapter 22

                                    

                                          
PAGE ONE
                          
Panel 1: Scorpion and Raiden clash their fists, Hellfire and thunder colliding.  The two of them begin to trade blows, each fighter blocking the other's strikes. Scorpion goes for an overhand punch, but Raiden blocks it. Raiden throws a right roundhouse kick aimed at Scorpion's body, but it's blocked by Scorpion raising his shin to his body and checking the kick. Scorpion throws a right leg kick, which Raiden checks. Raiden throws a right slashing elbow, which is stopped by Scorpion catching it in his palm.  Scorpion goes for a knee, but Raiden jumps back
                          
Panel 2: Raiden sends a blast of thunder towards Scorpion, which collides with a blast of Hellfire Scorpion throws. It causes a small explosion, sending both fighters flying back. Both immediately get back up.  Raiden forms two thunder blades. Scorpion summons two swords
                          
Panel 3: Scorpion and Raiden clash swords.  Each man attempts to stab and slash the other, neither one able to get the upper hand yet.  Raiden growls and comes at Scorpion with a flurry of slashes. Scorpion is able to dodge each one. Scorpion goes for a slash and nearly cuts Raiden's stomach. Raiden slashes and Scorpion ducks under it.  They both stop and their weapons disappear. They then stare at each other
                          
Raiden: Enough! Get serious Scorpion!
                          
Scorpion: As you wish. That was enough of a warm up for me
                          
Kung Lao: Of course they were warming up. 
                          
Johnny Cage: Hey, it wouldn't be fun if they went all out from the start. Give us some tension before the main spectacle starts!
                          
Takeda: Do it Master Hasashi
                          
Jade: Crush him Hanzo
                          
Panel 4: Scorpion stands still and closes his eyes. Fire begins to surround him, and rocks begin to float in the air. The place then begins to shake. Scorpion opens his eyes and unleashes a loud shout.  A massive flame aura shoots out from around him as he continues to unleash his power. The arena violently shakes. Everyone except Sub-Zero and Fujin struggle to keep their balance
                          
Johnny Cage: Holy shit!
                          
Panel 5: We see a several reporters from around the world, trying to maintain their balance as the entire area shakes
                          
Reporter 1: We're live in New York City and the entire ground is shaking!
                          
Reporter 2:  Reporting from London! It appears a massive earthquake has affected the entire city!
                          
Panel 6: A TV screen with a news anchors shatters. Shards of glass fall from a building. Luckily, no one is affected
                          
Panel 7: We cut back to Scorpion, who's still powering up. Fujin is smiling. Raiden has a large grin on his face
                          
Raiden: Yes! More! Unleash your power! I want to defeat you at your best! 
                          
Fujin: He's shaking the entire planet. Truly amazing. I can't wait to see where he goes from here
                          
PAGE TWO
                          
Panel 1: Scorpion unleashes one final shout and raises his arms up.  The flames shoot out. Everyone except Sub-Zero and Fujin cover their eyes. When the smoke clears, Scorpion is surrounded by a bright flame aura. He cracks his neck and rotates his shoulders.
                          
Scorpion: You wanted my full power. Come experience the true might of  my Hellfire.
                          
Raiden: It will be not enough to stop me, but I appreciate you using your full power. Now I can destroy you at your best
                          
Scorpion:  Through fire, you will be cleansed. 
                          
Panel 2: Each fighter takes their respective stance. Scorpion's stance is similar to a Muay Thai stance, while Raiden takes his MK11 fighting stance.  They begin to circle each other, feeling each other out. Raiden is first to strike, throwing a cross, his right hand wreathed in thunder. Scorpion slips to the right, and seeing his opportunity, he channels Hellfire into his left fist and lands two vicious left body hooks on Raiden. The second hook breaks Raiden's ribs.
