SiennaWhite: It's okay to 'borrow' your boyfriend's jackets when it's cold out, right? Sorry Ry, but it's comfy.

I hadn't meant to tell Ryan that I loved writing stories, not that I was embarrassed by it or anything but I hadn't written anything in years. My last story was based on my relationship with Ashton and it was tucked away in a few notebooks in my attic. If I was serious about this new writing adventure, and I guess Ryan was going to make me be, I would have to get up there sometime soon and get them out.

This morning, Ryan had left around the same time I had to take Eleanor to school. He and the rest of Team Penske drivers and crews had been called into the shop to discuss the next few weeks. I knew that this month and next were going to be a little hectic for him, doing promo work and other activities for Roger and then doing vignettes for Fox and MSNBC for the coming year.

Because of this unusual free time, and even if I wasn't feeling the best, I decided that I had to start doing some Christmas shopping for Ryan, his family, and Sophia and Mason. Eleanor's presents were stored in an upstairs closet. They had been bought throughout the whole year. So the pile had accumulated into a big thing that I had to make sure was covered by other things so El wouldn't look.

So after taking El into her class, I messaged Sophia asking if she'd like to join me, unfortunately, she was with Mason on a business trip to Greenville, South Carolina. They were undecided on if they wanted to expand their insurance company out of state, so being the completely impulsive couple they are, they chose to drive down and do some scooping out of buildings. I had completely forgotten about talking with her about it just the other day. So going down the list of contacts, I clicked on Erin's, knowing that she was in town for a couple of weeks staying with William. With a message asking her if she'd like to join me, I hit send and sat as the status went from delivered to read, then messaging bubbles appeared.

'Of course!'

I wrote her back, telling her I'd pick her up, and started towards William's house. The couple-minute drive wasn't bad, the overcast of clouds and the sun had been the part I hated.  My eyes had a dull ache behind them, but I couldn't let that bother me because I needed to get this done.  When I pulled into the driveway, Erin was already heading down the porch steps. Her blonde hair had been braided on the side of her head, and an oversized Alabama hoodie covered most of her small frame.

As she opened the door, I greeted her with a smile.  "Good morning," I told her, noticing the travel mug she was placed in the cup holder, the warm smell of coffee filling my nose. "Morning, Sienna. How are you?" As she buckled her seat belt, I backed out of the driveway, heading towards the city.
