Brooklyn sat on the toilet seat lid of Scott's en suite as the boy crouched down in front of her. He held a wet towel in his hand, using it to clean the blood from the girl's face. His lips were slightly pouted as he concentrated on getting every last speck off, something Brooke found adorable. She gazed at him, memorising every little detail on his face while he was too concentrated on something else to notice her gaze.

Scott got the last of the red substance off of the girl's face and met her eyes. He pulled the hand holding the bloodied towel away from her face and placed his other on her knee. "All done." he told her sweetly.

Brooke smiled at him, "Thank you." The McCall boy nodded. He stood up and moved over to the sink to clean the towel slightly before ringing it out. He set it aside and dried his hands on another one. He then moved back over to Brooklyn about to squat down in front of her again when he noticed something. He gently tried to move the girl's shirt down her shoulder slightly as he noticed her skin there was purple.

The material wasn't stretchy though, so it didn't budge. Crouching down again, Scott's chocolate eyes met Brooklyn's as he kindly asked her, "Can I?" as his hands hovered over the bottom of her shirt. The Hale girl nodded in consent and the boy delicately lifted the clothing over her head. Her torso was left only covered by her bra but she didn't mind, she knew Scott would be respectful.

He looked over the array of blue and purple that made up the girl's shoulder as did Brooke. She hadn't seen for herself the full extent of what she'd done. "How'd you do that?" Scott questioned.

"Trying to break down the door with Theo to get to Lydia." Brooklyn answered. The bruise wasn't too bad but it did cover most of her shoulder and contrasted greatly with her normal skin. Bringing her arm up, she rolled her shoulder back and forth a couple of times to test it.

"Does it hurt?" Scott inquired. He didn't like seeing her with her skin tainted purple and blue but it didn't make her any less beautiful in his eyes.

"Surprisingly, no. It looks worse than it actually is." the Hale girl informed him. She wasn't lying. Although you'd expect it to hurt, it really didn't. And Brooke was pretty grateful for that. Though she'd probably have to pick out her clothes with more consideration to avoid raising any eyebrows.

"What about your side?" the McCall boy asked as his eyes traveled down to her right side, just below her ribcage. Her wounds were pretty much healed and already beginning to scar. The only time it caused her pain anymore was when she made really sudden and laborious movements.

The girl smiled at the boy's concern. "I'm good, Scott." she reassured him, placing a hand on his cheek.

"I just had to make sure." the True Alpha sighed. His eyes not leaving her bullet wounds.

Brooklyn immediately knew what he was thinking. She placed her other hand on his other cheek and turned his head to face her. She rubbed his jaw as she said, "It's not your fault, okay. Don't blame yourself. Blame Theo."

"I just don't understand why he had to shoot you." Scott sighed. His arms made their way around the girls waist as he drew small circles on the small of her back. "He knocked Braeden out, why couldn't he do the same to you? He nearly killed you by shooting you."

"Because I'm amazing and he secretly knows he couldn't take me." Brooklyn chucked, trying to lighten the mood. "Plus he's a psychopath with no friends and a gun."

Scott cracked a small smile before it dropped as he glanced down at her right side again. He knew she didn't blame him but he blamed himself. Had he just done one thing different he wouldn't have almost lost her. "Still, if I hadn't gotten mad at you-" he started.
