Rosalia's POV:

Waking was painful this time. The fall down the stairs didn't really help, especially considering the sizable bump on the back of my head. Shifting to the side I finger it and wince when pressures applied. "Ouch," I mumble, blinking as the starbursts clear behind my eyes.

"Hurts like a bitch huh?" Ash's gentle touch soothes some of the pain behind my head and I groan, trying to sit up when a rush of nausea hits. "Woah, easy their tough guy, you took quite a hit falling down those stairs. Are you sure you're ok?" I wave off his hand and take a lurching step, right into Luca who's looking at me with wide eyes.

"Holy hell Rose, what happened to you?" He turns to look at me and I frown, holding my head in pain. "Rose? What happened?" He shoots a look in Ash's direction who's still kneeling where I had fallen. He looks up and shoots me a glance that makes me shiver. What's he thinking about? I can't decipher much, just a tumbled mess. "Hello? Earth to Rosa?" Luca's voice snaps me out of my daze and I try to move but a sudden bout of weakness makes me fall. "Ash, what's wrong with her?"

At this Ash looks up fully and I see him give a conflicted look in my direction. I want to ask him what happened but the weakness won't leave me. "I - I think something happened to her when she...when she fell down the stairs." He stands slowly and walks over to where I'm now clutching Luca's arm to remain upright. "Rose, Rosa?" He says my name but I can't see beyond the pain. "Rosa I need you to tell me what happened when your eyes changed."

"My...my eyes changed," I mumbled, remembering the flash of vision I had when I looked in the window and saw the ambery-gold colour. "Oh, yea they did..." I giggle softly and try to think clearly but the pain muddles my mind. Grinning like a lunatic I see Ash's concerned face, the expression mirrored on Luca's. "Wha...what's wrong with me? Why do I feel like...." What do I feel like? I think to myself and have to stop myself laughing again. Holy shit what is wrong with me? Why can't I stop laughing? Ash seems to notice my strange behaviour and sighs, catching me when I start to fall.

Ash's POV:

What happened to her when she blacked out? I wish I knew considering when she woke up she seemed deeply upset, just staring into space and taking deep, measured breaths that seem more deliberate than natural. What the hell happened to her? Add to that her stumbling walk I was considering that she was still drunk but then she started laughing before her thoughts turned worried.

Sharing a look with Luca he appears as freaked out as me, holding her up when she starts to look dizzy on her feet. "What's wrong with her Ash? I - I don't know what's wrong with her? Why's she looking like that?" As if to punctuate his claim Rosa makes a low moan and slumps so fast that only my vampiric reflexes manage to catch her considering Luca isn't ready for it. She slumps against me and I loop an arm under her knees and the other around her back to hold her against my chest whilst I take her into the living room where I come face to face with a surprised coven of witches. "I didn't do it," I say automatically as if to clear any preconceived blame. "She-she just fainted on us."
