Though locked in a literal cell in the dungeons, it wasn't hard to hear the turmoil going on a few levels above us.

It was frustrating; beyond frustrating, even.

It's been at least half an hour since Pansy had called Filch a filthy squib while locking the cell's gate before leaving our whole house to die in here, for all he cared.

And the longer I stayed put, the more anxious I grew as time flew by with now mere twenty minutes left before Voldemorts apparent attack.

"This is bullshit," I grumbled letting my head fall against the stone wall in frustration. A few students nodded or groaned in agreement, though nobody said a word.

Not until Wren's voice echoed through the corridors of the dungeon clear as day.

"If only you had someone to bust you out of there, hm?" She lulled, her voice dripping in sarcasm. I couldn't see her, but next I knew I heard a loud explosion, and the lock of the cell fell to the floor with a loud thud.

Students fled out of the cell quicker than I would've imagined, and once the smoke of the explosion had settled, leaving only Draco, Pansy, Blaise, Goyle and me in the cell, my eyes fell on Wren.

My best friend sporting a proud smile as she leaned herself against the wall.

"About time," I mumbled ironically, and she rolled her eyes in amusement.

"Inkwood," Pansy blurted out, surprise as well as relief written all over her face. Wren furrowed her brows at the girl, though gave her a subtle smile when she noticed her reaction was far from unpleasant.

"Parkinson," She retorted, nodding before the girl ran after the rest of our house; Merlin knows what she'd do now.

When an awkward silence settled over the five of us, Wren cleared her throat in hopes it would somehow urge anyone to start a conversation.

Preferably one about what to do now.

Though, all it did was make Draco mumble something in Blaise and Goyle's ear; the motion making me furrow my brows.

He noticed my reaction, and quickly closed the little amount of distance still between us. "I'll have to go take care of some stuff. Don't you die on me, yeah?" He whispered loudly, his hands on either of my cheeks before he planted a quick kiss on my lips.

"Yeah?" He stressed, grey eyes looking directly into mine. I barely had time to give him the faintest of nods before he disappeared into the opposite direction, dragging Blaise and Goyle along by their robes.

"I didn't want to be the one to say anything, but—" Wren began, looking after the blonde with a brow quirked. "All that really did was encourage you to follow him," She stated matter of factly, and I huffed in amusement, already hurrying after the three of them.

"He has a lot to learn, still, you know," I added, and she nodded knowingly.

"Clearly," She muttered as we jumped up the stairs, two at a time in hopes we'd catch up with them.

Though, I wasn't prepared for the sheer chaos currently taking place in every single corridor of Hogwarts. I should have expected it if I was being honest with myself.

And to try and find what direction they left in quickly became quite the impossible task.

After turning a few corners, running up and down hallways and skipping up random staircases, we noticed that.

"If we can't even find Draco, how on earth are we supposed to find Harry?" I sighed just as I turned another corner carelessly. The upper levels were a little less crowded, so I didn't expect to run into Ron and Hermione, of all people.

The both of them completely drenched, for some reason, and their full attention on a map in Hermione's hands. The latter being the reason why they didn't see us before.

"Y/n!" Hermione exclaimed surprised, yet happy, to see us.

"Merlin, am I happy to see you two," I huffed, giving her a quick hug and being so caught up in the motion, I threw my arms around Ron, as well.

"Clearly," Ron laughed, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. A motion I simply rolled my eyes at, while Wren couldn't help but snicker lowly.

I quickly cut the silence short by asking, "Have you seen Harry? I really need to speak to him." And Hermione, seemingly grateful, shoved the map in my face while pointing at a random corridor.

"Yes, actually," She began, nodding frantically. "He was just here. I saw him a second ago, and then he just disappeared off it," She said, her brows knitting together tightly as she checked the map once more.

My eyes followed her finger on the map as she traced corridor after corridor in hopes Harry's name would magically appear.

"Maybe he's gone to the room of requirement. 'Doesn't show up on the map, does it? You said that last year," Ron chimed in, expectantly looking at the girl beside him who shot him a surprised look.

"That's right," She nodded, contemplating his suggestion. "I did."

"Let's go!" Ron urged, and I was already trailing after the pair when Wren grabbed my wrist.

"I'll be looking for Luna, yeah?" She informed, making Hermione and Ron stop in their tracks as well as I spun around to face her completely.

I nodded, my breath growing heavier at the realisation of what that meant.

"Are you sure—? Walking around by yourself might not be the best idea," I wondered, a frown on my face as I pulled her into a tight hug already. I knew there was no convincing her, and it was the right thing to let her ago, anyway.

She nodded into the crook of my neck before picking up her head to look at me. "I'm sure as long as you promise not to get yourself killed," She warned, raising a finger as if scolding me. "I promise you I'll bring you back to life just to kill you myself, understood?"

I huffed in amusement at the words, nodding slightly.

"As long as you know the same goes for you," I shrugged, and a smile formed on her lips before she gave me one last nod and disappeared into the opposite direction.

"Let's go, then," I mumbled as I turned back towards Ron and Hermione, and they led the way without another word.
