In the morning, I woke up in my bed still cuddled up. I go up to my door, unlock it and go downstairs. I go to the kitchen and make a bacon sandwich. Elena walks in and smiles at me. I smile weakly.
"Morning Mel." I simply wave. I'm not in the mood for talking. When I finished my sandwich I go back up to my room and lock the door and lie on my bed. I grab my phone which is an iPhone 5c pink and put butterfly fly away on repeat so it just plays over and over again. After about an hour or so I fall asleep letting the nightmare take over.
Nightmare
I’m walking through the forest alone. I sigh and walk up to the falls when I hear a branch snap from behind me. I turn around to see nothing. I shrug and turn back around until I hear it 3 more times. I turn around to see a huge pile of people in front of me except they're all dead. I look to see if I can recognize anyone and when I do my eyes tear up. There’s Elena, Jeremy, Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Tyler, Bonnie, all my friends. I scream and fall to the floor crying.
"You did this! You killed everyone!" I hear in my head.
"No! I didn't! I wouldn't so that!" I scream out but it’s no use. No one can hear me. I hear something or should I say someone behind me chuckling. I turn around to see a vampire hunter.
"You know what’s coming next." He smirks and runs at me piercing a stake into my chest. I scream in pain and fall to the floor blacking out.
Nightmare over
I wake up with a gasp. I look to my chest to see nothing. I sigh in relief and pull my covers off of me. The song still playing. I go out my room and to the bathroom. I take a shower and try to wash away the guilt. I get out and wrap a towel around my body making my way back up to my room. I Lock the door and change into pyjamas. I get into bed and lie down cuddling my teddy bear to my chest and listening to the song again and again. I can feel my thirst getting stronger by the minute but I don't care. I fall asleep and this time have no nightmare. But just a dreamless sleep.
