Rosalia's POV:

"Mallory-Nadir?" Ash sounds confused for a second until what I've said has sunk in. "Rosa you don't mean that. You can't." He shoots me an imploring look - clearly begging me to change my mind - but I remain firm in my decision.

I give a low sigh. "I have to Ash," He gives me a pained look and I sigh, pulling down the shoulder of my jumper to show him the marks on my back. The Nadir family mark looks more pronounced than ever, elusive and shimmery under my skin. Eris takes a step forward and looks more closely and I grow in her direction. "What's up?"

"The mark, where's its partner?" She asks suddenly. Wow, no beating around the bush with her. Straight on it. "Rosa this is important. Who bears the mirror mark?" She regards me with a searching gaze but all I can do is shrug. How the hell am I meant to know considering I woke up with it on my back and no memory of how any of it happened.

"Mirror mark?" I ask cautiously, looking between both the witches gathered. The fire's light had died somewhat so I couldn't make out all of Rach's features. Though what I could see was fixed in a mask of fear and tension. "Rach? Eris? What do you mean mirror mark?" Eris releases a slow breath and looks towards Rachael who slips off the couch diligently and hands me a piece of paper and charcoal pencil.

"Draw the symbol on your shoulder," Eris instructs gently and I frown, craning my neck to see over my shoulder. Holding the pencil in my dominant hand I concentrate on my magic and watch as it lights up with such a bright intensity that I can see the individual feathers in the golden wings. The next twenty minutes are spent in silence as I try to replicate the gleaming gold and black sigil tattooed on my back. By the end of it, I have a black and grey replication on one side of the paper that looks pale in comparison to the mark I know has dimmed on my shoulder. Twisting my neck back I look around at the others.

"What now? Do I wait for something to come falling out of the sky?" I ask sarcastically and behind me, Ash gives a low laugh which he's quick to turn into a cough when I elbow him in the knee. "Seriously though? What happens next?" I survey the room but the wolves sleeping by the fireplace offer little assistance. Only Eris and Rach know what I have to do. "Hello?" I snap, slightly aggravated by the lack of help.

Eris's mouth twitches, clearly fighting a smile. Glad one of us found this so amusing. "None of us need to do anything Rosa. Just focus and the image should come to you," She suggests and I want to groan in horror. How was I supposed to figure it out?! "Just focus," I let Eris's voice guide me. "Clear all thought from your mind and focus."

I prop my chin on my hand and stare at the blank half of the paper. The right side is covered in smudges of my shaded charcoal and it's quite distracting to be fair. Until I started trying to find patterns in the smudges. The more I tried to do that the more I found myself thinking of nothing. Almost like automated writing, I could hear the soft glide of the charcoal stick on the paper. Looking at the left side I can see a mirror black and gold image appear to be traced in the centre of the remaining space. Can the other's see it? I don't waste time thinking about anything but instead frown down at the page, my brows knitted in concentration, and carefully sketched the drawing in front of me. It looks similar to mine - almost exact actually - except for the wing positions. For mine, the wings are outstretched like a barrier but for the other image, they have changed so they're curled around the black heart in the centre. "Pretty," I mumble, smudging the wings a little so their overall images look similar. "But what do they mean?"
