'bub,' he whispered in her ear as she closed her eyes enjoying the summer breeze brush against her rosy cheeks.
                          
she opened her eyes startled for she had thought she was all alone.
'john?' she asked oblivious to what he had behind his back.
'hey,' he said smiling at his girlfriend. she turned around to face him and lightly pecked his lips. 
                          
her feet plodded the scorching sand, her feet forever grateful to have a layer of thick rubber to prevent it from getting a third degree burn.
                          
she took a step back as her feet sunk into the shallow water which was so cold that it left tingles on her damp feet.
                          
johnny followed her footsteps sliding his arm around her waist and holding her body towards his chest. she grinned widely at his movements and happily tapped her feet on the ground.
                          
johnny raised a trembling hand towards the side of her face, gently sliding it behind a single strand of hair and tucking it behind her pierced ears.
                          
she breathed out at his movements and he felt a hot gush of air lightly scheme across his lips. he let go of her waist causing her eyebrow's to shoot upwards and a puzzled smile to appear on her lips.
                          
he knelt down, one knee propped against the ocean ground and one flat against it. he felt the cold water freeze the layer of skin. he slipped his finger into his back pocket pulling out a velvet red box.
                          
he let out a shaky breath and raised it towards kenzie.
                          
'kenzie,' he said. her eyes glistened with tears as her quacking hands flew to her face. she clasped it against her lips as a gasp escaped her mouth.
                          
'john,' she breathed out.
'kenzie,' Johnny repeated,'I love you babygirl and I want to be with you forever,' he paused,'will you do me the honour by marrying me?' 
                          
his eyes were filled with hope and his heart banged against his chest. her eyes were filled with desire as she glanced at the ring before her.
                          
'yes,' she muttered softly at first, enough to make a huge smile erupt on the boys face.
                          
'yes I will love that so much,' she said loudly as johnny jumped up and wrapped his arms around her timid body. she let out a squeal falling backwards but he caught her.
                          
she pushed him away and he slid the ring on her finger.
                          
'We are engaged,' johnny said holding both her hands in his.
'we are going to get married-,' she said.
'and have kids!' Johnny exclaimed.
                          
kenzie began hopping from one foot to the other as johnny gripped the sides of her face and smashed his lips on hers.
                          
she was caught by surprise but she kissed back immediately, her hands making its way to hook around his neck.
