It's been 7 days; exactly one week since the mission was assigned. Kyro was worried. They should have both been back by now.
They were currently docked on a different island far away from Pyeonghwa. Julian needed a few tools for the ship and whatever new invention he was trying to create. Kei needed more food supplies and Jain needed more herbs. When they all met back at the boat, he grabbed their attention.

"5:00!"

Everybody turned their head to the captain.

"I'll give them until 5:00 today. If we don't hear from them or they're not back, we're going in," he announced.

Everybody nodded their heads already understanding what he was talking about.
A full house mission.

Wooyoung woke up to an empty bed. He squinted his eyes and sat up trying to understand his surroundings. The room was completely empty barely even a scent of the alpha. The boy scoffed a little upset.

He could have at least told me.

After dressing up and getting ready to start his day, his father called for him. He entered and bowed before walking closer to his father.
The King looked up from what he was reading and made a serious expression, putting one hand over the other and against his mouth.
Wooyoung didn't like it when he did that. It usually meant his father had figured out some secret or was thinking too deeply and won't be convinced.

"I hear you were the last one with Hongjoong before he left."
"Yes father."
"He was crying? Why?"
"Him and San got into a fight," the boy answered simply.
"What about? Was it big enough for him to cry over?"

Wooyoung wondered why his dad was so curious. He usually only ever asked a few questions before moving on to another topic.

"I'm not sure. I think Hongjoong was lying to San." He looked down knowing he couldn't lie straight to his father's face.

"Yet you were with him all night?"
The King gave his son a knowing look when he finally looked up at him.

"Were you spying on me? That's not fair, you promised you'd never do that," he accused raising his voice a little.

"And I won't. I wasn't spying on you. I was spying on Hongjoong," the King confessed nonchalantly.
Wooyoung glared at his father.
"Why would you do that? He's my friend. And our guest!" the boy declared.
"Well he wasn't being very honest. There's something very peculiar about him. Be careful Wooyoung," his father warned saying his full name. He only ever calls him that if he's angry.

"He's a good person!" Wooyoung shot back, upset at his father for judging him.

"Good people don't kill for no reason. Then lie about it," he whispered the last part.
Wooyoung gasped feeling betrayed.

"YOU HAD SOMEBODY EAVESDROP ON US?!"
Woohyung had no idea what his son was talking about, but a few seconds later and his mind clipped the pieces together.

"No I didn't actually but now I'm sure."
The King put his hands flat on the desk.

"Why would you be friends with somebody like that? I'm sure I taught you better," he scolded.
Wooyoung stared at his father with detest.
"You don't know anything about him! People can change father!"

"I agree. People can change. But once a killer, always a killer."
His eyes hung low filled with enmity and his tone was dark.

Wooyoung was a little frightened by the sudden change in his father's expression but he didn't let it get the best of him. Instead, he made a foolish mistake and spoke without thinking.
