"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" The voice growls in my ear.
                          
Sasuke.
                          
I don't move, I know that I'm risking my entire mission being destroyed if I do.
                          
"You can't honestly think that you could've defeated them on your own?" He whispers aggressively.
                          
I feel his hand loosen over my mouth and then drop to my arm. He grips me tightly so that I can't take off on him.
                          
"I won't get another chance." I say as quietly as I can.
                          
"Tsunade didn't send you. I got word that she was sending Team Seven. Without you."
                          
 I keep my eyes locked onto Hidan. 
                          
I won't fail.
                          
"Where is it?" He hisses through gritted teeth.
                          
"Where is what?" I snap.
                          
His fingers roughly dig into my arm as he turns me slightly to face him.
                          
"The scroll you stole to get here."
                          
I take a deep breathe in and remove the scroll from my travel pack.
                          
"I don't care what you say Sasuke. I'm going down there one way or another." I pause for a moment.
                          
"I have to." 
                          
Sasuke remains frozen behind me for several seconds.
                          
"I'll take Kakuzu. You'll die if you take on both alone." He says.
                          
I nod once.
                          
"Please tell me you have a plan?"
                          
"My plan is to kill him." I spit out. He lets out a light chuckle.
                          
"Fine. Wait until I've gotten Kakuzu's attention." He whispers and then disappears into the trees, leaving behind nothing but a small gush of wind.
                          
I move in until I'm no more than 5 or 6 trees behind Hidan as he rests against a trunk.
                          
I know that if I have any chance at killing Hidan and remaining alive myself, I have to take his arms first. Or at least one. 
                          
As soon as Sasuke makes his move, I'll make mine.
                          
I prepare myself for the moment, putting my hand over the handle of my katana. 
                          
The forest around me is silent except for the deafening  pounding of my heart within my chest.
                          
My breathing accelerates as I see Sasuke across the clearing, squatting on a branch. 
                          
He locks eyes with me and I give him a small nod right before he darts down onto the ground. 
                          
I hear the ear shattering sound of his Chidori whipping through the air as I watch Hidan and Kakuzu jump to their feet. 
                          
Before I can process that this is actually happening, Sasuke runs up behind Kakuzu, shoving his bright fist through one of the quadrants of his chest.
