Tw- STRONG MENTIONS OF EATING DISORDER, SUBTLE SELF HARM AND DEPRESSION THROUGH CHAPTER i will put a small summary at the end if you want to skip

George ran as fast as he could after Dream, he got on the train that came after his in a hope to catch him, not knowing that Dream was just going in circles around the park, refusing to get off.

Dream sat on the small train, head in his hands whispering words that were jumbled up and incoherent, trying to let out every emotion he felt. It wasn't working, he was numb.

Once George's train stopped next to the car park, George attempted to press the button to unlock one of the cars the group hired. Tears streamed down his face, making his vision incredibly fuzzy, he hadn't meant to cry but it all hit him at once. He just hoped that Dream would be at the hotel.

It was a surprise he even made it back to the hotel without crashing because of how blurry his vision was and how often he was choking on his tears. All lights from houses and buildings merged into one as he ran through the pretty much empty street towards the hotel from the car park.

Small puddles were left behind from where he ran while crying as he sank into the elevator, leaning himself against the wall and breaking down even further.

He turned to look at himself in the mirror of the elevator, he was a mess. His once chocolate brown hair was sweaty and stuck to the sides of his face in all directions, his eyes were completely red from all angles where he had been crying and his cheeks had multiple tear stains.

Once the elevator reached the floor of their apartment, George ran in circles around the apartment, calling out Dreams name. There was no answer. The tears came thicker and faster than before as George ran to his room and slammed the door shut before sinking down on to his knees while still holding the door handle.

He wanted to scream. Why was he so stupid? Why did he think Dream liked him the way he did? Why did he kiss him? Why wasn't Dream at the hotel?

Instead of screaming at the top of his lungs, George pulled his legs into a ball and began rocking himself side to side, letting out a long string of sobs as he cried himself to sleep.

The rest of the group had no idea of the events which had gone down, assuming everything had gone to plan.

Once they made it to the car park though, they found Dream, sat next to the second of their hired cars. His eyes were tear stained and he looked as though he had been crying but the tears had been long wiped away and in place of them was no emotion. Dream looked numb and as though any emotions he felt were being held back by a barrier, a barrier he couldn't break down, a barrier no one could break down.

"Do you want to talk about it?", Sapnaps voice was as calm as possible, he didn't want to scare Dream because of how helpless he looked.

Dream just shook his head and slipped himself into the passenger seat in the front of the car, staring out of the window at nothing. He couldn't feel anything or hear anything, all words around him were muffled, all of his senses blocked.

The drive back to the hotel felt like an eternity, the car filled to the brim with anxiety and sadness. No one dared to speak. Not even Karl who was usually incredibly bubbly.

Sapnap was the first into the apartment, all of the lights were off, it looked as though no one was in. Even so, Sapnap knew someone was here, he could hear muffled sobs coming from George's room and some shuffling.
