"Perhaps I didn't make myself clear," I say in a soft radiant tone. "I'm a man. Antonio is a boy. Two different categories."
She laughs at my comment. "Yeah, you're right." She fiddles with her curls. Silence crept past us as I look her in her beautiful brown eyes.
My eyes glance to my favorite thing that I gave her. The gold necklace wrapped around her neck, and hung low, but mid chest area. It's was beautiful when I first saw it, but it was even more beautiful when it first laid against her skin.
As if she seen where my eyes were focused on, she trails her hand to the necklace, engulfing it into her hand as if she was trying to protect it from me.
She finally gains the courage to say something, "I hope you don't mind if I take some time to think."
I nod my head. "Everyone deserves time. After all that's what life presents us with."
The realization that I've met the one was a grand factor. But the fact that she may not love me back, is the bad luck I received from my dad.
I love her.
As if words couldn't explain how I truly felt... I buried my words with affection to hide the slightest bit of defeat.
She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me. "Thank you," Her response was soon followed by a beautiful smile. "So... I think I want to kick your ass in Mortal Kombat since you cheated last time."
The change in subject was a normal factor, when someone wanted to avoid a situation, however I wanted her to remember that I— the man with no heart— have a heart after all.
I laugh at her aggressiveness as she pushes me back in a playful manner. "Didn't anyone tell you not to challenge a king."
She rolls her eyes as she walks towards the tv. "No Mr.King," She says turning away from the tv. "I wasn't the type to read children books in elementary school."
"That explains your humor," I tease, placing my hand in my pockets.
She turns around and jokingly pouts, "Can you just turn the game on so I can kick your ass."
I walk towards the Tv and turn the PlayStation on. From the corner on my eye, I watch her try to find the correct way to stand. She's takes a deep breath as if she realized what she was doing.
Laughing as if I was laughing at her comment rather than her actions, I tease her. "Positivity is an important factor for those who fear they'll lose."
She rolls her eyes, "Yeah, yeah. I'm about to get Leah. Can you get Orlando and Lee so I can kick their asses too? No one should be left behind."
Yet somehow my heart feels left out— behind.
"Okay, but don't take too long," I respond knowing they're going to be talking about me. Especially about the three words I just said. She nods her head then heads towards the stairs.
"Aren't you missing something?" I call out, waiting for something in return. It may not be those three famous words, but it's was one step on the road.
She shakes her head confusingly, "Oh yeah. I didn't want to bother Chris because he was making me cookies. But I'll get him too."
I walk around the couch until I'm standing I'm front of her. The silence was soothing, I could tell that she felt uneasy. "Are you sure you don't want this as well?"
I pull her towards my body, wrapping my arms around her waist. She was small compared to me, yet I liked the difference. I kiss her in desire, searching for those three words on her lips. Thought, the longer I searched the harder it seemed to be to find.
The want I had upon her was huge. Bigger than any desire I had upon any woman or materialistic structures. She was my everything.
Everything I ever wanted in life.
Mia Amore falls in my arms as the kiss becomes intense. Feeling her smile against my lip, I began to kiss her lips, soon leading to her neck. She quietly moans at the feeling as I do my great works, though she tries to stay quiet because of the guests.
She later tenses up, "Damon stop. Anyone could see or hear us."
I laugh at her attempt to make me stop. I place kisses on her between each word. "I..," I kiss her lips, soft-pink lips. "Love..." I kiss them longer this time. "You.." Once again, I kiss her. Signaling my love for her.
I love you.
"Damon?" I look up only to see Leah standing on the stairs above us. Her eyes remained on mine rather than Starr's.
"L-Leah.. hey," Starr's voice was trembling at the thought of us being seen or possibly heard, as she has yet to reply to my confession.
Leah walks down the stairs until she stands in front of us. "Sorry. I think I was hallucinating," She says rubbing her fingertip on her temple.
"What do you mean?" I ask trying to see if she was okay. Leah's face started turning pale as she stands before us awkwardly. "Leah..." I call her name out for a answer of any.
I didn't mind that she seen or heard us because honestly, the truth would come out sooner or later. All I wanted was Starr to repeat it so I wouldn't look so much like a dumb ass, reject.
Starr elbows me, stopping me mid sentence, "Umm, Leah there is something I wanted to show you earlier."
"Uhhh... okay." Leah hesitates as Starr pulls her up the stairs. I laugh watching the anxious expression on Mia Amore face.
And then she was gone.
I was left with 3 words that went through the process of momentum. Never stopping because there was nobody there to help stop those words from moving in time.
Searching the house, looking for the boys took longer than expected. They left earlier and I haven't seen them since. After stars reaction, I figured I should talk to them.
The thought still weighed on my mind, but my pride was to big for me to let it hold me down.
——————————————————————————
Damon confessed his love, although Starr is hesitant because of her past.
When will she say she love him too?
Did Leah hear Damon's words? How will she react?
