At Least He's a Gentleman

                                    

                                          
"Babe. This isn't my first mission you know?" I say as we walk up to the main gate of the village.
                          
"Just let me nag you. It'll make me feel better." He says as he stops, pulling me against him.
                          
I hear the sound of footsteps against the gravel and I look over Kakashi's shoulder to see Shikamaru sluggishly walking up the path.
                          
Kakashi glances over his shoulder and then turns back to me. His hands come up and he flattens down the collar of my ninja vest.
                          
I slap his hand away.
                          
"I know what you're trying to do." I whisper through gritted teeth.
                          
He gives me a playful smirk in response.
                          
My hand comes up and rubs the bright purple hickey that he left on my neck earlier. I roll my eyes at him trying to expose it.
But I rather like it.
                          
I won't give him the satisfaction of knowing that though.
                          
"Text me as soon as you guys get to your hotel tonight. If not I won't be able to sleep." He grabs my chin in between two fingers and brings his lips to mine.
                          
He deepens the kiss, placing his hands on the small of my back and pulling me flush against him.
                          
I fight the urge to let out a moan as his tongue swirls over mine.
                          
He pulls away from me, amused by the dazed look that he leaves on my face.
                          
"I love you. Invite over Asuma and Iruka to keep you company." I tell him.
                          
He smiles down at me.
                          
"I will. I love you more."  
                          
Shikamaru stands a couple of feet away from us and clears his throat.
                          
"Ah. Shikamaru." Kakashi nods his head at the Nara.
                          
"Kakashi Sensei." Shika nods back.
                          
I turn to Shikamaru. "Okay, let's go." I say.
                          
We walk through the main gate as Kakashi stands there and watches me leave.
                          
I turn around to wave to him, feeling like four days won't go by quickly enough.

We travel until about two in the morning. We talked the entire time, making the hours fly by. I forgot how easy it was to talk to Shikamaru.
                          
By the time we make it to the village we're meant to spend the night in, we're an hour ahead of our schedule.
                          
"That gives us an hour of extra sleep." Shikamaru says, the happiest I've seen him all night.
                          
We walk through the dimly lit streets until we see a sign for the Village Inn. This village is rather small so I doubt they would have any other inn except for this one.
                          
"I'll grab us some rooms." He says as we walk in through the front entrance. I nod and head in the direction of the waiting area to rest my pounding feet.
                          
I pull my phone out and see three unread messages.
                          
Two from Kakashi and one from Asuma.
                          
Asuma:
Your boyfriend is annoying & sulky w/ out u
                          
I giggle trying to picture Asuma having enough patience to deal with a sulking Kakashi.
