The Pregnancy
I pace back and forth with my hands folded in front of my chest. What was taking Ella so long? Certainly this shouldn't take so long?
Ella and I have lived and raised the kids for the past six years. After the war and my sister's injury, Ella and I finally got to settle down and start our life. Now, six year later, Ella and I were waiting on another pregnancy test after the past few negatives.
The bathroom door opened Ella steps out. "Ella? Is it--"
"It's positive," she looks up at me and smiles. "I'm pregnant."
"Oh my goddess," I run up to her and hold her in my arms. I spin her a little before kissing her. "This is amazing."
"Oh goddess, what about Wyatt and Kayla?"
"What?" I look down at her as if she's crazy. "They will be thrilled."
"I'm worried," she leaned her head on my chest and I kiss her forehead. "I mean, what if they--"
I kiss her before speaking, "Stop, stop, stop. If it would make you feel better, we don't have to tell them now."
"When should we tell them then?"
"Maybe in a few weeks?" I rock us back and forth. "After we see the doctor."
"I like that idea," she smiles, pushing herself up on her toes and kissing me. "I'm really excited."
"I am too," I kiss her again. "Do you want me to call the pack doctor for an appointment?"
"No, you have training," she pushes off me and goes to grab her phone. "I'll call. You should probably head out."
"Yeah, I should," I sit beside her and lean over to pepper kisses on her neck.
"Luke..." she giggled. "You'll be late for training."
"I'd rather be here," I pull her closer to me.
"Luke, come on. You have to go," she pushes on my chest and I groan.
"Fine, I'll go."

"Hey," I enter through to back door to see Ella cooking dinner. I kiss her temple and look on the stove to see what she's cooking. "Where are the kids?"
"Well, Wyatt has locked himself in his room and Kayla's watching TV," Ella explains before turning to face me. "We should tell them tonight."
"Tonight tonight?"
"It's been three weeks and I'm starting to feel guilty," she reaches for my hand and I let her take it. "The longer they have to get used to the idea the better."
"I agree," I lean forward to kiss her lightly.
I leave to let Ella finished dinner and I walk out to see Kayla on the couch as expected. The strange girl had the TV on and a book in her lap. "Whatcha doing?"
