Nesrin and Estelle sat in the shadow of a tree, while doing their divination homework. Nesrin put down her quill, let out a frustrating groan and laid down on her back to look into the sky. When she was younger her dad would always take her up to the roof and watch them with her. She missed her parents a lot while staying at Hogwarts, so watching the clouds pass by, gave her a feeling of safety and home. She pulled out her wand and pointed it at them, causing them to change shape into different animals chasing each other. Over the last year she had taught herself the Meteolojinx Recanto, and it had become her specialty to change the weather effects."I will never understand how you can be this good at charms."
Estelle said in a slightly bitter tone. Everyone at Hogwarts knew that spellwork wasn't exactly her strong suit. She much more preferred potions, divination and astronomy. Deep inside she knew that it was just normal for people to have different strengths, but she couldn't help but feel left out, when everyone else talked about new and more advanced spells, while she still struggled to perform a simple disarming charm. She felt pathetic.
"I don't know it just comes to me naturally. You know I always wanted to be a healer when I grow up." Her eyes glimmered with anticipation, while she imagined her future. Being a healer in St. Mungo's Hospital has always been her biggest dream. It wasn't all about the healing though. She wanted to challenge and proof herself to the others, just because she was muggleborn, doesn't mean that she couldn't have a place in the magical world.
Estelle laid down next to her and stared at the moving clouds in admiration. They've been best friends, ever since the Sorting Hat has put them both into Slytherin. Nesrin didn't knew anyone and seemed rather lost, until Estelle offered her to sit with her. It was funny how their roles in their friendship have changed. At first it was Estelle, who made Nesrin get out of her comfort zone and meet new people. Now the roles are reversed and Estelle rarely appreciated meeting new people. It wasn't that she was scared that they wouldn't like her or that she was unpopular, she just didn't care.
"I really think you could do it." She said and really meant it. Nesrin was an extraordinary witch. Whatever question you might have, she most certainly knew the answer or knew where you had to look. Could be a pain in the ass sometimes, but other than that it was mostly quite helpful. She could imagine her as a healer quite well, she always saw the good in people and could stay calm and collected in every situation. The complete opposite of her. She was jumpy had a bad temper and didn't knew when to shut her mouth, she just couldn't help it.
"Hello Beautiful."
A tall figur stepped into their sight blocking the soft sun. Estelle rolled her eyes annoyed and sat up again, seeing James and Lily approaching them as well, he had his right arm around her shoulder. They looked happy and were laughing about something. Besides Nesrin, Lily was the only other girl she could kind of count as her friend. They didn't have as much history as Nesrin and her, but they've spend an extraordinary amount of time together in the library studying astronomy. Turning around again, she saw Sirius and her friend intertwined and kissing.
They've been together for a bit over two months now. After trying to win her with corny pick up lines, for nearly the whole year. After she finally gave in and agreed into a few dates in Hogsmeade they are now a thing. Her eyes glared over to the Black Lake, just seeing the water made her shiver.
"Fuck!"
There he was: Regulus Arcturus Black.
His stupid black curls fell loosely into his face, while he walked towards them. He had a proud gait and his high cheekbones underlined his expensive looks even more.
He was objectively pretty, but she still despised him, as much as he despised her. His dark eyes found her, while he clenched his jaw. Everything she said, she said in order to make him loose it and it worked almost every time, but not today: Today he was going to make her loose it first. A mischievous grin crept on his face.
