Soooo I felt like I should clear up some misconceptions before they even arise.
1. Everyone in this book is above 18, so don't scream UNDERAAAAAGGGGEEEEEE if you see... Inappropriate jokes because yeaaaahhhh, it ain't entirely clean and you can avoid looking at them if you're sensitive to that content.
It's not a bad thing if you ARE sensitive to swears and such stuff because everyone has different tastes ❤️ there's no such thing as "too sensitive" so don't think yourself to be that.
2. There will be toxic ships. I personally find toxic ships fascinating, so I'll be doing some ships which are (or could be) toxic according to their canon characterization. For example, err, Phi x Aiga (now that's a chapter I'm sCARED OF-)
But this does. NOT. mean that I condone toxic ships. I do NOT support manipulation, gaslighting, guilt tripping, abuse, etc. etc. Just no. I like exploring characters with toxic dynamics, that's all. Just my own taste in fiction.
Personal tastes in fiction don't say ANYTHING about you as a person. I don't support freaky shit in real life, even if I like them in fiction. It. Is. Fictional. This book is not meant to be taken seriously at ALL so please don't scream at me for having opinions about fictional characters.
I keep highlighting the word fiction because it's important to keep in mind that it does not exist and have any implication/effect/whatever in real life. People keep forgetting that we're talking about fictional characters and get so worked up about stuff but like ?????? THEY ARE NOT A REFLECTION OF REAL LIFE. THEY ARE NOT REALISTIC. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. ✨✨✨✨✨
3. There will be rare pairs. Thousands of them. No, no, BILLIONS OF THEM. That's not to say that there will only be rare pairs, but please don't say "That ship makes no sense! They don't even know each other!" Honey, it's fiction, we can adjust the characters the way we want. We can make characters meet, fall in love, kill each other, become ramen chefs, etc. etc.
So yeah, Ranjiro x Suoh will make sense, and it will happen if I want it to.
Rare pairs are fun to do because it's interesting to experiment with the characters to make them have feelings for each other lmao. Imagine Laban just falls for Gumita because her eyes remind him of the forest. Yes, that's a thing. That can happen.
Wait, does that mean that Clio can crush on Shu because Shu's red eyes remind him of blood? Because vampire? Huh? Amazing.
4. Age gap.
Um, no?
Like I see a lotta people being like "But X is soooooo much older than Y!" then,, umm, you can always, y'know, age Y up? Or make X younger? To make it less uneasy for yourself?
I don't really care a lot about age gaps because I always alter their age according to my convenience if it makes me uncomfortable, so I'll be doing a lot of ships that do have age gap. If that makes you uncomfortable then you can alter their ages like I do. No need to make a huge deal out of it, right?
5. Very dark topics.
