I chuckled, surprised to see Jihoon, or more specifically, the flowers in his hand. "Oppa!" I laughed, before hugging him. "You didn't have to," I said as I closed the door behind me, slightly embarrassed to see him showing up with a bouquet. I mean... this wasn't a date, so why the flowers?
Jihoon chuckled and placed his hand on my lower back as I hugged him. "Yah, they're not for you, dummy. They're for your mom. I just wanted to see your reaction," he said, making me gasp and place my hands on my hips as I pulled away from the hug. "I.. I want to be mad, but you got flowers for my mom, so how can I be mad?" I said, laughing as I looked up at him. I loved getting to see and spend time with Jihoon again. He always made me feel so comfortable, even when we first met he was so nice and reassuring. It felt like I could escape all of my problems when I was with him. Needless to say, I missed Pyo Jihoon.
"You can't. I'm too cute to be mad at," he said, mimicking my pose by placing his hands on his own hips, making me roll my eyes playfully. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's go," I said dismissively, making him raise an eyebrow.
"Aren't you forgetting something? Where's my favorite little man?" He asked, seeing as I was about to leave without my son. "Oh.. change of plans. The guys wanted to take Rowoon out to the park. I figured he would have more fun playing around with them than sitting and watching us talk and have coffee," I said, to which he nodded slowly.
"I guess you're right. That might work better actually. We have a lot to talk about after all," he said, his hand staying on my lower back as he led me towards his car with tainted windows. I became a little nervous as he said we had a lot to talk about. Just what did he want to talk about, that he thought it would be better if Rowoon didn't hear?
Before I could ask him, he opened the door for me, and I jumped back as I heard "surprise!" being shouted from inside the car as soon as the door opened.
And surprised I was, because inside the car were the grinning faces of Taeil, Yukwon and even more surprisingly, Jiho.
Seeing me jump back, startled, Taeil and Jihoon laughed. "Hi!" I finally said after just looking at them, dumbfounded for a few moments.
My heart swelled with joy. It had been so long since I had seen my friends from Block B. They were genuinely some of the nicest, sweetest, most fun guys I had ever met, and back when I used to work with them, we were all so close. Most of the members and I were still great friends, but because of their busy schedule and some other things I don't want to get into, we hadn't seen each other in a few years.
"You didn't tell me they were coming too!" I said, turning to lightly punch Jihoon's arm. He held his arm and badly acted as if he was actually hurt, making me roll my eyes. "They wanted to surprise you," he said as we both stepped inside the large back seats of his van.
I hugged Jiho tightly as soon as I stepped inside the car. "I can't believe you're here. How are you here? You're always so busy," I gushed as I held onto him for dear life. He chuckled and hugged me back just as tightly, his arms wrapping around my waist. "I missed you too, Coconut," is all he said in response, making me smile even more. It had been so long since I last heard that stupid nickname.
