The air was still, frozen with the ice.
Countless hours of gruelling preparation came down to this, some ready to fight whilst others only to witness, and two with a whole other agenda.
The frozen landscape, the clearing from the prophecy that no one made though two had predicted, the thirty first of December in the year 2006.
If they were to survive this day, they could make it into the next year, a new day in their lives, Korashia Khan and Matteo Casivicci had a plan, one if ruined would ruin their entire future.
They were two unlikely people who would go out of their way to save the Queen, a girl who once tried to kill her and a boy with the label of a traitor, somewhere in these past hundred years, they had gone to respect and change their views of her.
So here they stood, their feet glued to the ice, huddled in two, they kept their distance from Bella, Edward, Nessie and the wolf man. They were nervous, of course, they had not seen these people in over half a century, well Korashia had.
The duo, especially Matteo were eager to see the faces of the Volturi when they see them, a smug smile came to his face at the thought of Aro seeing the girl he declared dead stand alive infront of him.
It probably be any moment now that Celine would've woken up, before the Volturi could arrive and battle it out with the Cullens, she knew that almost all of the witnesses would join along with them because Renesmee had them all wrapped around her tiny finger, though Korashia was first a little bit disturbed at how she looked when she was growing.
The face...it wasn't bad...just...
The still air moved. It almost seemed like a signal that the Volturi were nearing them, everyone was fidgeting and shifting their weights to calm themselves down, deep down, no matter what, they were still the Volturi.
"If we live through this..I'll follow you anywhere, woman." Garrett mused looking at Kate.
"Now you tell me."
Then they heard the footsteps, the thumps on the snow that moved in synchronization, her and Matteo could get a clear view of the black cloaks making their appearance from the trees.
"The red coats are coming...the red coats are coming.." Garrett muttered.
Some things never change for the Volturi, that could be said for their dramatic entrances through out, Korashia couldn't blame them really, with an entrance like that, even a toddler could look fearsome.
At first there was no sign of the kings or any of the Guard that the duo recognized, only a bunch of what seemed like their own witnesses. Then they came.
The simultaneous marchers in the front fanned out to the sides, revealing none other than Aro, Caius and Marcus of the Volturi, she had to admit their showstopping entry left her impressed, not that it matter in the very least.
The sight of the kings had sparked different reactions between the covens on their side, the Romanians had smirks of glee on their faces, evident that they were here for a battle.
The Khan coven had scowls, the Egyptians primarily Amun and Kebi looked the same if not even more enraged, the Amazons had blank expressions whilst the Denali's looked a bit fearful.
"Aro's looking for Alice." Edward muttered to Bella but the duo knew he was implicating it to them as well.
It seemed Aro's eyes had found the duo immediately after Edward's words, she saw his lips part in surprise, following his eyes, one by one recognized them.
Korashia and Matteo shared a glance of silent conversation, finally a small nod ended it, the two then turned their eyes back to the Volturi, the kings especially.
