All Carina could ever do was mope about the deaths of Korashia and Matteo.

She wasn't even close with them, at least not as close as she was with Geraltine, but still their loss left a hole in her, she missed his laughs and her blunt advices.

Their deaths were so sudden, nobody knew what happened at all, the only person who may have known something was Geraltine but she was a weeping mess.

Aleric voiced his suspicion, saying that someone may have pushed them off of the tower. Janae was against that saying that they may have accidentally fallen to their deaths, Aro had a theory though he didn't share it.

What was worse that Alicia didn't see this either, Carina had only found out she had psychic gifts a few days ago, the seer didn't see her falling from the sky neither did she see Matteo and Korashia dying.

It had only been a few hours since she had found their bodies, the day started with a fight in the snow, then to her fainting, confessing her love to Aro and then finally the duo ending up dead.

She hadn't seen Aro since he'd escorted her to his room, she didn't question his whereabouts either, she didn't have any reason to, she just lay on his bed staring up at the ceiling, trying and failing to coerce herself to fall asleep.

Every time she closed her eyes, she could only see the hollow ones of Korashia staring back at her, or maybe Matteo looking at her in betrayal for some reason, one time she saw the two of them trying to kill them.

Carina heard a knock on the door, not having enough energy to go all the way and greet whoever was there, she just yelled at them to come inside. She thought it may have been Aro or Alicia but to her surprise, it was Geraltine.

She sat up quickly and out of her bed, walking towards her with a sullen expression, but had a brief look of surprise when she saw that Geraltine didn't look as worse as she did before, like she hadn't seen her somewhat children die.

"Hello." The older woman mumbled with a small smile.

"Are you feeling alright?" Carina asked worriedly. "You could rest here, it's alright, I'm not sleepy either-

"I'm well, Carina." She cut off the Lumerian's ranting. "I just...I just needed some company."

"Oh, well." Carina muttered. "Come inside." She said leading her inside Aro's bedroom.

Geraltine scanned through the room, even if Carina may have forgotten her rant about the battle axe of Obscuro, she certainly didn't, just the entrance to his chambers, he had a door in the far corners of his room, she remembered Aro's old habit of leaving everything out in plain sight.

"This was a long day wasn't it?" She heard Carina ask, exasperated.

"It certainly was."

"Do you miss them?" Carina couldn't detect any emotion of grief from the woman, maybe she may not care for them or it could just that she mourned in a different way.

"Of course I do." She replied sharply, looking at her pointedly.

"I didn't mean it like that, I promise." Carina added to her words quickly, not wanting to offend the woman.

"I know you didn't..."

This left an awkward silence in the room, Geraltine remembered Korashia's words, that she must do what she had to quickly, for time may be faster in the real world.

"Have you seen Aro anywhere? It's been hours since I've seen him." Carina asked her hopefully.

An idea came to Geraltine, maybe if she was able to lure Carina out of here, then she could steal the weapon and do her job, she didn't want to address the word 'kill', she wasn't doing that but rather waking her up in the real world.
