It seems like fate has once again played right into Y/ns hand. He could not believe his luck as he stumbled upon Ruby in her time of need. After she asked for some tips about how to deal with her team, Y/n sat down with her.
Y/n: "So you and Weiss got into a fight, or more like she got angry at you, Yang got angry at her, which resulted in them getting into a fight that annoyed Blake to the point of leaving?"
Ruby: "Yeah, thats the gist of it."
Y/n: "And now you want me to help you?" Again Ruby nodded. Y/n did a fake sigh and leaned back to look up to the sky. "Right now you need to understand that you are the leader. Your word goes. If you tell your teammates to make up they have to do so. There is a time for being nice and a time to be a leader. Sure you could try to do both but that will result in what had happened today. Weiss does not respect you because you never put your foot down. You never established yourself as her teamleader." Y/n said. "Be a bit more assertive. Tell her straight up that you are still new to your job and that if she wants you are ready to train, to learn. I have to be honest with you Ruby." The girl looked at him with slightly teary eyes. "You are young and not YET suited for the role that has been forced upon you. Have you done anything to adapt to your new role?"
Ruby: "N-no. I didn't." She answered hanging her head in shame.
Y/n: "Hmm. Right now you need to start taking all of this more serious, you no longer are at Signal dreaming about joining Beacon, you already are at Beacon, now you need to stop dreaming and start working. Start with being more attentive in class, put in more effort outside of class, get to know Weiss and Blake more. Team building excercises would be a great start at the moment. Explain to Weiss that you wish to become the leader the team deserves but that you need her help." Y/n did not realize that Ruby began to take notes untill looking at her. "Where did you even get that?"
Ruby: "I rushed to the dorm and came back as fast as my semblance allows." Y/n stared at her for a moment before shrugging.
Y/n: "Blake is a bit on the shy side from what I was able to gather so far, she seems to have a liking to books so try to use that to start a conversation. Please tell Weiss that I would like to speak with her tomorrow after classes, as your teams guardian she will hopefully be interested in what I have to say. Meanwhile make sure to tell Yang that she needs to tone down her protectiveness towards you. It is nice of her to be there for you but you need to fix your own problems. That does not mean you can ask her for advice just that as long as you do not need her strength she should stay out of it. You got that?" Ruby nodded.
Ruby: "I can see that you have experience being a leader." She smiled.
Y/n: "I am a lord, governing over 140 people, I need to be good at leading them or else things could go badly." He smiled back. "There always will be fights, I am sure you and your sister had had times you did not were as nice to eachother as usual, that is normal. People rarely agree with something whole heartedly. Important is to be able to get along after, to make up again and to understand the others more then before. You do know what you did wrong right?"
Ruby: "I should have been more careful with my milk."
Y/n: "And how would you now try to fix this?"
Ruby: "Offer Weiss help with remake her notes?" Y/n gave her a pat on the head.
Y/n: "That would be a start. That is all I can help you with. Now it is up to you. I will talk to Weiss tomorrow, hopefully I can make her realize that she should help you improve instead of complaining." With that the overlord got up and went back to his dorm. "Narberal, we visit Junior." He did not wait of an answer before opening a gate to Junior's. The moment he stepped out of the gate he was once again meet with loud dance music and blinding lights. The smell of sweat and alcohol was as strong as ever. It did not take long till Junior approached him.
