Just before she entered the Change Rooms, she felt someone pull her wrist back around the corner with ease. She laughed with surprise, facing Cameron who was wearing his usual smirk, as well as the Gryffindor tie that she gave him before the match against Slytherin.
"Well, well, if it isn't Cameron Harrison wearing the Gryffindor colours," Kiara smiled, touching the stray ends of red and gold on her old scarf that hung loosely around his neck. "Who are you?"
"I thought I told you last match. I'm only supporting the Gryffindor Quidditch team because they have such a beautiful Chaser," Cameron grinned, his amber eyes lighting up when Kiara's cheeks reddened and her eyes turned pink.
"I don't think you mentioned our team having a beautiful Chaser," Kiara teased.
"You're right, I don't think I was chasing her enough last time," Cameron agreed, leaning against the wall casually. His messy hair fell perfectly as he did so. "You're still wearing the Slytherin colours." He pointed to her green and silver scarf that belonged to him. It made him happy and somewhat, even more attracted to her, seeing her wear his clothes with pride and elegance.
"It gave me good luck," Kiara pointed out. "What about you? Are you going to wish me luck?"
Cameron breathed deeply and leant forward slowly, his face millimetres from her own. If she moved any closer, his lips would touch hers. She felt like she could melt in a mess right here and right now, with the way that her heart raced.
"When you chase that Quaffle today, just remember that I'm chasing you right now until you stop me," He said quietly before kissing her cheek softly. "Good luck beautiful, I can't wait for tomorrow."
Kiara watched him walk away, unable to control her fuchsia eyes and the goosebumps on her neck. She felt weak at the knees until she realised that she had a Quidditch Match to play in half an hour.
The entire team was changed and ready to go, except for Harry who sprinted into the changing rooms at the very last minute.
"Where have you been?" Ginny demanded, Kiara at her side, staring at her friend in concern.
"I met Malfoy," Harry told them quietly, as he pulled his scarlet robes over his head. Kiara didn't answer, knowing that he was probably following Voldemort's orders. "So I wanted to know how come he's up at the castle with a couple of girlfriends while everyone else is down here..."
"A couple of girlfriends?" Kiara sniggered, unable to control herself. Draco made it clear that he didn't have time to study, where did he have time for a girl or multiple?
"Does it matter right now?"
"Well, I'm not likely to find out, am I?" Harry replied, seizing his Firebolt and pushing his glasses straight. "Come on then!"
And without another word, they marched out onto the pitch to deafening cheers and boos. There was little wind; the clouds were patchy; every now and then there were dazzling flashes of bright sunlight.
"Tricky conditions!" McLaggen said bracingly to the team. "Coote, Peakes, you'll want to fly out of the sun, so they don't see you coming—,"
"Why you little-," Kiara muttered, her eyes changing gold to represent her annoyance at McLaggen before Harry cut her off.
"I'm the Captain, McLaggen, shut up giving them instructions," Harry interrupted angrily. "Just get up by the goal posts!"
Once McLaggen had marched off, Harry turned to Coote and Peakes, repeating McLaggen's instructions begrudgingly.
Once Harry shook hands with the Hufflepuff Captain, Kiara kicked off on Madam Hooch's whistle and rose into the air, missing the Quaffle as Zacharias Smith snatched it instantly.
