Timeskip 1 week:
"Annie is awake mumma." Arthur informed you, appearing from the direction of your bedroom.
His prescense was quickly followed by your daughter's cries.
"Arthur what have Mummy and daddy said about disturbing Annie when she's asleep?" You asked the toddler. He looked up at you with his 'sorry' face. You knew he didn't awake her to be naughty, he just still didn't understand why she slept all the time and couldn't 'play' when he wanted to 'play'.
"Sorry mumma." He apologised.
"That's okay Artie, now shall we go and give your little sister her bottle?" You suggested. Arthur nodded enthusiastically.
It wasn't very often that you were only with one of the boys, but Ethan had desperately wanted to go to the shops with Harrison and there didn't seem to be any reason to say no.
"Why is baby so loud?!" Your son exclaimed, holding his hands over his small ears as you entered your bedroom.
You found it hilarious that it wasn't long ago that the twins would scream and cry whenever they needed something, and now they questioned why Annie did so.
"She has to be loud otherwise we wouldn't hear her. You and Ethan used to be very loud when you were little babies." You informed him, picking up and trying to console Annie as you walked back to the living room.
"I don't cry like baby Annie." Arthur replied
In a tone that suggested he thought that your statement was absolutely absurd."Not anymore, but you did when you were little like Annie." You tried to explain.
"I get the bottle!" He announced- evidently bored of the conversation. You wished adults could do that- just completely change the conversation when you couldn't be bothered to talk about it anymore.
Arthur passed you one of the many bottles from the cupboard and you began to prepare your daughter's lunch.
"I know you are hungry baby girl, your bottle will be ready in a minute." You told her, not that she would understand.
As soon as the bottle machine sounded that it was ready, Arthur got very excited- him and Ethan loved getting to help with Annie.
"Right Artie, mummy is going to hold her and you can hold the bottle OK?" You directed him, checking that the bottle wasn't too hot before handing it down to the patiently waiting toddler.
"OK!" He replied, bouncing over to the couch where you both sat down.
"Baby, you ready for lunchtime?" He asked her.
"I'm ready Artie!" You spoke in a high pitched tone, pretending to be Annie.
"Here you go." He said placing the bottle gently into her mouth. Gently being a key word in that sentence since it took a fair bit of practice to get it right.
You didn't know what you loved more, the little noises Annie made when she drank, or the grin she made Arthur spread across his face.
The twin's, being two years old, were smiling and happy most of the time, but the smile the they beared when they got to hold or feed their sister was different, and it was adorable.
"Are you having fun Artie?" You asked, gazing down at your beaming child.
"Uh huh." He replied before you instructed him to remove the bottle so you could burp Annie.
"Mumma..." He began.
"Yea..." You promoted for him to continue.
"How did baby come out?" He questioned.
"Um well, um, I think we'll go with mummy's belly button for now."
