"Thank you for attending this small gathering of mine"
                          
Duke Julius spoke in a low uninterested voice, but everyone could hear every word he said.
                          
"There is also a reason as to why I suddenly handed invitations for you all to attend this gathering."
                          
Hearing this, the nobles looked at each other, asking them if they knew what it is.
                          
It turned into a disappointment as no one knew the reason.
                          
"Later, in the middle of the gathering, I will announce something that I have been thinking about"
                          
"Announce? Do you have an idea as to what it is?"
                          
A nobleman asked the person beside him.
                          
"Unfortunately, I don't..."
                          
"Same here, it seems the others also don't know" 
                          
The others who were listening nodded in agreement.
                          
Duke Julius examined everyone's reaction. When his eyes reached Iclyn, it didn't last long for him to move his eyes to another noble.
                          
When the Ladies not far from Iclyn noticed this, they couldn't help but laugh behind their fans.
                          
"That's all, enjoy the gathering."
                          
When people saw Duke Julius leaving the center to talk to another duke, people immediately started to form a small group for them to talk to.
                          
A small group of people beside Iclyn started to snicker.
                          
"Did you see that? The duke didn't even set his eyes longer to that Lady Brat! Hahaha!"
                          
"I know right!? Hahaha!"
                          
They knew Iclyn heard their conversation, but they couldn't care less because they want her to lose face.
                          
Iclyn ignored them and just turned around to look at Lady Lucy.
                          
"If you don't mind Lady Lucy, I wish to go to the table full of delicacies, do you still want to follow me or talk to the other Ladies here?"
                          
Lucy, who was already looking at Iclyn, replied: "I'll follow Lady Iclyn for a while, there's nothing here that caught my attention."
                          
Iclyn just looked at Lucy and turned around and walk towards the table.
                          
When Iclyn was in front of the table, her eyes set on the dessert. Iclyn felt like all those sweet desserts were calling for her, waiting to be eaten by her.
                          
Iclyn felt quite strange, but she brushed it off thinking it was nothing.
                          
Iclyn decided to pick the cupcake that was covered with chocolate.
                          
When she was about to put it on her mouth, she heard a voice.
                          
"When did Lady Iclyn taken a liking to sweets?"
                          
Iclyn put her hand that was holding the cupcake down and look at Lucy.
                          
"...why?" Iclyn tilts her head in question.
                          
Iclyn was pretty sure she always liked eating desserts. Especially sweets. Her friends in college always joked about how every lunch break, they would always see Mountains of sweets on her table.
                          
But Lady Lucy doesn't seem to know that she had always liked eating sweets.
                          
Her sweet tooth has been always been know by everyone. It was not a secret.
                          
"Hmm? Everyone knows that Lady Iclyn doesn't like sweet food. Has Lady Iclyn started to like sweets now?"
                          
Doesn't like sweets?
                          
Oh...
                          
Iclyn Only looked at Lucy without answering her question.
                          
...yeah...
                          
When she was a child, Iclyn tried a very sweet cake, but she didn't like it as it was very sweet. After that, she never tried anything with sugar.
                          
But just now...
                          
She felt like she wanted to taste the desserts on the table.
                          
Iclyn looked at the cupcake in her hand.
                          
When she looked at it, she didn't want to resist the temptation to eat it whole.

Before, She would look at this with disgust. Maybe even feel like starting to vomit.

Iclyn didn't wait anymore and took a bite at it.
                          
Sweet flavors enveloped her mouth. Without even her knowing, the cupcake in her hand disappeared.
                          
...That was delicious...
                          
It's been a while since I had this... Has it been years? 20 years? Maybe 21 years.
                          
Iclyn was focused on savoring the sweetness that she didn't even realize that she had such a thought.
