Leah

i was standing in front of my closet, examining each piece of clothing. for the first time in my life, i had no idea what to wear. i grabbed my phone and quickly called my friend, Olivia. she was a fashion icon, she knew everything about it and knew what colors go with which patterns. hopefully she'd pick up her phone,

"cmon cmon cmon," i say whispering to myself.

"hey," she says picking up the phone.

"oh my god! thank goodness you answered, i need your help." i say.

after what felt like hours i had picked out an outfit, with of course Olivia's help. i was wearing a dress that was from Love Shack Fancy. i had modeled for the brand and they had given me so many clothes, which of course i still wore.

i was wearing some sneakers that weren't for working out but more for dressing up or lifestyle. my mom had gotten them for me before i left for London. i hated wearing heels or flats, they were so uncomfortable. but for my job i don't exactly have much of a say.

i straightened my hair and done a bit of makeup, i out everything that i need in my purse and hear a knock on the door.

"i'll get it!" Katie says sprinting out of the guest room.

"when did you-?" i begin to say.

she opens the door and i cross my arms, what was she doing?

"what are your intentions for my best friend?" she asks,

"oh my god," i say walking to her. "what the hell are you doing?"

"payback for Ryan," she says. "and for giving me Melatonin."

"well i'll be back soon, ok bye!" i say leaving and closing the door behind me.

Louis just stands there a bit confused, "sorry about that,"

"it's fine, i was going to get your flowers but i remembered your allergic." he says.

"it's fine, i'm just glad we're finally doing this." i say.

"let's get going," he says.

i nod my head and drive to the restaurant, he had brought me too a small Italian restaurant. exactly like the one in my hometown, i'm in shock that he actually remembered me telling him about it.

"i can't believe you remembered," i say once we're seated and looking through the menu.

"i can't believe you remember telling me about it," he says.

"what?" i ask.

"when you told me about it, it was after i had rammed into you on my skateboard and you were laying on the hospital bed. the doctors had given you so many pills to help with the pain." he says.

"oh god, that must've been, embarrassing." i say laughing a bit.

"it was actually quite funny, it was very interesting to hear about your fear of flying on a plane." he says.

we both laugh a bit and order our food, "i wanted to give you this," he says.

"you didn't have to get me a gift," i say.

"i wanted to," he says placing the box in my hand.

i untie the white stain ribbon and open the box, inside is a gold ring with a small heart engraved in the back.

"i know it's not much but, you told me how your grandmother had a similar one, i saw it one day and had to get it for you." he says.

"no, it's- it's the best thing anyone's ever gotten for me." i say trying to hold some tears back.

"well i'm glad you like it," he says.

"thank you, so much." i say.

the date was amazing, after we had eaten we walked in the park. it was the perfect night, he was the perfect guy. when i walked into my apartment Katie was sitting at the counter waiting for me.

"you're late," she says.

"for what?" i say closing the door.

"your curfew," she says.

"i don't have a curfew, at least not here." i say taking my shoes off. she examines me and squints her eyes, she looks at me up and down.

"so how was the date?" she asks in a more energetic tone.

"amazing,"
