TW: Toxic Parents
You sighed and ate your breakfast in silence with everyone, just enjoying the chaos. It was very welcome and all the chit chat around the table was making you smile... The atmosphere was warm and you found yourself getting emotional internally. Longing hit you, never in your life had you ever experienced how it felt to be so at home. Your eyes got misty so you politely excused yourself from the table. Concerned gazes trailed behind you but you just laughed to yourself when you reached your room. You wiped the tears that had started dripping down your cheeks, "This is so stupid. Who cries when they're happy? Dummy. I'm such an idiot. You're happy, stupid. Stop crying. Why am I always crying nowadays? You're getting weak. I never used to cry. This is so lame. Maybe I should do something to make me feel sad or shitty. I can't handle happiness or feeling safe. How do people do this? Do I run away from them or something?" You scold your reflection and laugh through the sobs escaping your mouth.
Unbeknownst to you, the team had followed and had heard you through your door. The kids had gone out to play. Where there was supposed to be happy pandemonium there was silence for a long time as you calmed yourself down. When you finally managed to silence yourself, you picked up your phone and scrolled through random apps since you were waiting for your eyes to depuff and for the redness in your face to go away. As soon as you opened your Instagram, A picture of Kiyoko holding your hands from yesterday popped up on your feed. "Shit!"
This was bad. It was very bad. As you went through the comments of the post which had blown up overnight, anger boiled in your veins. Your secret of being a model was blown, kids from school recognized Kiyoko. Then easily identified you after seeing the caption which read, "Our managers are goddesses". And it turned out that Kiyoko was the daughter of a family that had current business dealings with your parents, you knew the situation was fragile. People had started to assume that you were dating and if that wasn't bad enough, some hate comments had started to pile up on your social media. More and more people from school had started to follow you and were really trying to find out more about you. Emails from your secretary started flooding your inbox and several interview requests started to come in. But most importantly a message from your father arrived.
Father: We will have a video conference in half an hour to discuss everything. Be ready.
You blinked in surprise. "Oh my god." You ran out of your room to find everyone in the living room, "Who in the hell posted this?" You held up your phone with the picture on it and a murderous aura enraptured you, "I. Said. Who. Posted. This."
Daichi and Sugawara watched you in shock, the sweet girl they had been eating breakfast with was gone. An angry businesswoman stood in front of them. Anger radiated off of you in waves. Kiyoko took one look at the photo and paled. She picked up her phone and her eyes widened, "You're (L/N) (F/N).... as in the (L/N) Industries?"
A nod was the only thing you could give her and took a deep breath, "I'm a popular model too and now I have a lot of press to deal with. I keep my personal life under wraps for a reason. The last thing I needed was for people to know that I go to Karasuno. It was dangerous for me... my safety is in serious question now. And I can't even leave now. I just got here."
Kiyoko's phone started to ring and she went outside to pick it up, saying that it was her parents. You went to your room to call your secretary and quickly told her to release a statement saying that you guys were just friends and your hands were cold when that picture was taken, business relations between the families were good at the moment and you didn't want that to change. You called Jay, your agent, and told him the same thing. Surprisingly, Jay was supportive and asked if you wanted to sue whoever took the misleading photo and shared it without your consent. You thanked him but declined and said that it would make you seem petty.
