Kayla sent flames towards Obliviana in a rage, she trapped the flames in her palms laughing. She looked at Tee-jay and sent the flames towards him.
"Fuck!" Polly managed to knock the flames away with her beams.
Obliviana took hold of Kayla, continuing her hideous jackal laugh. She seemed to absorb the flames from Kayla before throwing her into the ground like a rag doll alongside her brother, Kayla lay their lifeless.
Polly knew both siblings were still alive, it was how it should be now, just Polly and Obliviana.
There was only one outcome now, death.
Polly couldn't conceive the siblings fate if she were to lose, no, this wasn't an option.
"I know what you're thinking Bird-girl, finally it's just us. When you're dead it will come quickly, those two not so much, I'll have fun with them. Two little toys to play with..." Obliviana ended with a whisper. "Oh the fun I'll have with your girlfriend."
"Congratulations on what you've done to the planet all because your granny doesn't like you, it's okay though, she likes me." Polly smiled.
"You? You're just another fool she sent to her death, she doesn't care about you, she's using you."
"I've seen your past Jana, everything you did, all you are to me is a child killer."
"Who cares? I'm not going to Hell so I'll do what I want, I'm not a mother killer though am I?"
"You've got no more puppets to cheer you on and believe your lies Jana. Is there anything you don't kill?"
"I'm done talking with you Polly."
Polly responded by spitting in Obliviana's face.
The sap stuck to it, as Obliviana pulled it off it left a sore looking scar.
"You dare do that to me? You're ugly and you're jealous of my pure beauty! I'm a true American, blonde, blue eyes, white skinned! You don't belong here oddling."
"You're no American."
"Time to make your mind mine."
"Never."
Obliviana took hold of Polly.
"Look into my eyes."
Polly switched off her Green-vision and laughed.
"I can't I'm blind."
"You will do..."
Obliviana felt a sharp pain in her face and blood spool down her face.
Polly had bitten into her nose and was tearing the flesh away.
Obliviana threw Polly to the ground who held on like a rabid dog.
The nose came away in Polly's mouth who spat it back in the face of its former owner.
Obliviana screamed in a mix of pain and feral anger. She drove her fists into Polly's face, Polly tried to pull away but Obliviana was stronger, she felt consciousness slipping away.
The birds came back to her rescue tearing at Obliviana's back. She let Polly go, backing off and swatting at her attackers.
"The face, attacks the face." Polly ordered, she was barely audible. Black eyes and a busted lip, possibly a broken cheekbone, the two women looked a complete mess.
The birds took flight again when Polly ordered them to get to safety.
Obliviana's face looked like something from a mummy's tomb.
Polly shot a green beam from her eyes which was countered by Obliviana, this cancelled both their attacks out.
"I'm going to punch you to death." Obliviana raised her fists. "Come on!"
"I think I'll bite your ears off next beautiful." Polly blew a kiss.
They began to throw fists.
It went on for what seemed forever to Polly, she didn't know how many more strikes she could take before she fell.
She knew Obliviana was stronger and tougher, even in this weakened state she was still just as dangerous.
She felt her opponent knew she was weakening. Polly kept looking back at Tee-jay and Kayla.
Obliviana laughed and threw a punch at Polly's eyebrow, Polly threw one back at Obliviana's jaw.
"Your friends aren't coming to your aid Polly, a few more punches and you're finished. Your regeneration powers won't save you then, I'll make sure there's nothing left of you."
Polly said nothing and put her all into a final attempt at downing her.
It failed. Obliviana knocked Polly to the ground and stood over her.
She grabbed Polly around the collar and punched her again.
"I'm going to pound your face into soup, then I'll tear off what's left from your neck. I'll tear off all your limbs and burn them, let's see you come back from that. You were tougher than I thought, admittedly the toughest I've fought. For someone who's just become a Goddess it's sad your little journey ends so soon, same for Fire-girl and her brother."
A thought came to Polly, a final hope before she gave up and let death take her.
The eucalyptus was still in her pocket, as Obliviana waffled on she reached for it. Her fingers gripped on the leaf and she pulled it out sending it to Obliviana.
The leaf changed into the butterfly and stuck to Obliviana's chest.
Polly dropped back to the ground and watched as the butterfly Stoup began to expand around her.
"No, get off me, no!!"
Obliviana became cocooned inside him.
Polly watched for a few moments longer until she faded into unconsciousness.
When Polly came to she held the back off her head painfully and managed to sit herself up.
Obliviana was still inside the cocoon. Polly turned to the siblings, Tee-jay was still out but Kayla was groaning and holding her head too.
Polly crawled towards her. "Kay, Kay." She helped her up and shook her. "Are you okay Kay?"
Kayla looked at her dizzily. "Urgh, yeah, sure I guess."
Polly hugged her.
"Ow." Kayla protested.
"We need to see on Tee." Polly said.
"Yeah."
Polly was the broken arm had a gash in it, it looked infected. "Fuck, we need to help him Kay."
"Yeah. What happened to Janet?"
"The eucalyptus trapped her, hopefully forever."
Kayla put a hand to Polly's face.
"Ow back."
"Let's get out of here Polly."
"Soon."
Polly went to the cocoon, it was light, movable.
In the distance she saw the giant hand and the screaming souls trapped inside it freeing themselves and floating upwards.
"What the fu..." Kayla replied.
Polly with help from Kayla managed to get Tee-jay in his saddle.
"What do we do with this?" Kayla pointed at the cocoon.
Enbarr trotted forward and a chariot materialised behind him.
They put the cocoon in it and Tee-jay too.
"If only everything was so easy." Kayla shrugged.
Polly nodded. "Let Ana figure the rest of this out. Tee-jay is our priority."
"We need to get back quickly." On Kayla's command the horses took to the skies and made quick time back to the Gateway.
