"a-ash....calum was driving that car..." luke stuttered.
                          
"no, he wasn't! he couldn't have been!" i say, tears staining my cheeks.
                          
"a-as-ash....h-he w-wa-was..." mikey's stutter was getting worse and both ash and luke knew why.
                          
"no! shit! g-god..." i cry, running out of the brick house, running to the road where my car had crashed.
                          
i approached the accident scene, police cars and ambulances were blocking me from accessing a decent view.
                          
"s-sorry..c-could i just...?" i mumble, stumbling through all of the people crowded round the two ruined cars, the two ruined lives.
                          
"sir. you can't go any further!" a police officer ran behind me as i picked up my pace, stumbling over to my smashed car.
                          
people say that his name is calum hood
                          
he's not gonna make it
                          
he will! just help me get him into the ambulance
                          
that was all i heard before being pushed back into the crowd of gathering people.
                          
"sir, are you related to this man?" the same police officer spoke, gesturing over to calum who had blood streaming down his forhead, through his blonde highlights and onto the concrete floor.
                          
"i-i'm his b-brother..." i lie through my own teeth itching to see calum and tell him that he was going to be alright and it would go back like old times.
                          
"right...just step through and tell the paramedics that you are a family member..." he sighs, rubbing his temples and continuing to push people back, so that they wouldn't get injured.
                          
i ran into the ambulance and the doors shut behind me, i looked over to the stretcher to see three paramedics crowding over calum, checking his pulse and holding rags to his bleeding and cracked head.
                          
"he's loosing too much blood!" one of the cried.
                          
"he'll make it!" another confirmed.
                          
"n-no..h-he wo-won't..." i choked out, mumbling to myself and collapsing to the floor, leaning my back against the shaking walls of the ambulance.
                          
"we need to get him to the emergency room!" the driver announced, then turning sharply into the entrance of what seemed to be the emergency block of the hospital.
                          
i was blinded by the sun when the doors finally opened and calum was pushed out into the fresh air and he disappeared into the automatic doors of the place where people were welcome to die aka the hospital.
                          
i felt two hands on boths of my shoulders, i turned to be met by luke and michael, luke with his hood up an michael with his head down.
                          
"a-as-ash?" mikey choked out, looking up the slightest bit so i could partially see his glowing red eyes.
                          
"y-yeah mikey?" i reply, a blunt expression placed upon my face.
                          
"d-do y-you th-think h-he'll m-ma-make i-it?" i could barely make out his words because his stutter was so bad.
                          
"i'm not too sure. but we can only hope for the best....right?" i say, hopefully, sucking in a breath.
                          
"right." luke smiles, trying to add some positive energy into this scenario.
                          
after we had entered the hospital i scarily was attacked by de ja vu. only this time i was in the hospital for calum and not luke. for an accident and not a purposeful attempt to die.
                          
"calum hood's family?" a woman approached us and all three of us nodded in unison.
                          
even though we were lying, it got us one step closer to saving our friend.
                          
we all entered cal's hospital room, me last because i was terrified to see what condition my kiwi friend was in.
                          
the heart rate monitors were beating normally and i could see that the teenager's chest was rising and falling normally.
                          
"oh calum. this is all my fault..." i sighed, kneeling next to bed and holding cal's cold and pale hand in both of my warm ones.
                          
"don't blame yourself for this ashton. you didn't mean for any of this to happen" luke sighed, shaking his head in disbelief.
                          
"if i hadn't of screwed up we wouldn't be here right now, we would probably be curled up on the couch, watching mean girls and flirting with each other for christ sake!" i snapped, banging my head on the metal bar of the bed.
                          
i looked up, tears blurring my vision. i could only faintly see michael whispering something in luke's ear through his grey hood.
                          
"okay buddie..." luke frowned.
                          
"a-as-ash. d-did y-you w-want to t-tell c-ca-calum a-any-anything?" michael stuttered, walking over to me and bending down so he could kiss the top of my head and stroke my dirty blonde curls soothingly.
                          
"i just wish i wasn't here right now. c-an you remember the time when we had a water fight and a random dog came and attack us?" i laughed through my tears, sniffling at all of the good memories me and calum had shared.
                          
"...and when we snuck out one night just to go and get a packet of mentos and a bottle of coke, just because you wanted to see what would happen if you mixed the two. then we got stuck in snow and we just lay on the ground, making snow angels at one o'clock in the morning?" i laughed once again. before kissing calum's freezing hands and mumbled a i love you cally bear, always and forever into his ear.
                          
"he's gone buddy..." luke sighed, hearing the flat beep of the heart monitor sound.
                          
"i w-wish i had never have f-found him so i wouldn't have to l-live through this..." i sighed, nuzzling my face into michael's neck, my tears staining his plaid shirt.
                          
"i-it's fine..." he mumbled in my ear, kissing it softly.
                          
i felt my weight being lifted from the ground as two strong arms wrapped around me.
                          
i looked up at michael's emerald eyes, which were now bloodshot from all of the crying.
                          
"always and forever..." i shut my eyes into michael's chest and let sleep over take me.
