Evans POV:
Today was the day... Nervous but exited, antsy but smiling. "Good morning, sleeping beauty." Jared yawned in my arms.
"G'morning.." I mumbled, leaning my head on his.
"You ready for today, dork?" He asked, taking in a long, painful sigh.
"I think. A random thing though, you just called me 'whale dick'." His confused face only made me want to explain it more.
"Yeah, I saw it in a documentary once. Dork means whale dick. Or something like that." I mumbled the last bit.He stayed silent for a bit, then he burst out laughing.
"Oh. my. God." He wheezed out.
"I know, right? Like..." I took a moment to not laugh with him, but instead explain a bit more. "...who even thinks of this stuff?"It's official, Jareds laugh is contagious.
I started to laugh with him.
"Boys?" Jareds mom yelled from down the hall.
"Yes?" He yelled back, same exact volume as her, making my head pound.
"Come down here!" He let out another sigh, giving me a kiss on the forehead as he got up, making me smile.
"I'll be right back." He gave a wave and walked out of the room, leaving me alone to think.Jareds POV:
"What do you need?" Mom scoffed as I said that.
"Don't talk to me like that." She hissed, making me shiver.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
I shifted awkwardly on my two feet, holding my arms across my chest. I chewed my lip out of habit."I'm going to work. Love you."
"Love you too..." That was a lie.You don't mean that, do you?
You're back?
As I said, no matter what, I will always be here with you.
You can stay, as long as you'll be less of a bitch.
Will do. Won't do? I'm not sure. I'll be less of a bitch.
I started walking back upstairs to Evan, I heard him talking on the phone.
"Evan? Who ya' talking to?"
It took a second for him to respond, but I still sat next to him on the bed.
"Alana," He mouthed, tapping his hand on his thigh.
"Ohhhh ok." I whispered back.
"Ok, that should probably work...thanks...see you later...bye." A beep came out of his phone as he hung up.
"Ok! Two o'clock we're meeting Alana!"
"WOOP!" I raised my fist in victory."Ok, nothing can ruin this. We can't let anything happen between now and then." I said in a more serious tone.
"Alright. Let's make sure we both stay safe." He added, I nodded in agreement.
(Ok so writers block is hitting me so fucking hard rn and idk what to write for this. So time skip until they meet Alana.)
Evans POV:
My backpack was heavy, along with the burden I carried on my shoulders.
"Hey, Lana!" I walked up to her, hand in hand with Jared.
Both of our grips were tight. Too tight. Both of our knuckles were white.
"Oh! Hey guys!" She gave a friendly smile, sending a wave in our direction.
"Ayy wassup...dude?" Jared said, very awkwardly. It sounded like a clip out of 'The Amazing World Of Gumball', but even more awkward.
"Nothing too much. Hey uh, are you feeling better Evan?" She brushed Jared off.
"I'm..I'm better. Better than I was at least?" My voice cracked, making me cringe.
"That's good! So wadda' you wanna do?" She asked.
"Well I was thinking we could take a walk in the woods?" I pointed to the many trees that sat near the school. At this point, it might as well be called the woods.
"Sure! Sounds fun!" She said, her normal, cheery tone lightening the mood a bit. If only she knew what was about to happen.
Jared's POV:
Fuck. We were deep in the woods by now. Now all I have to do is follow through with the plan.
I waited until Alana faced away from us, taking in the view.
"Hey Evan? Did you pack that one water bottle you said you would bring?" I spoke the sentence that I've been preparing to say for multiple days now. It feels like I've been practicing for years.
"Oh, yeah. Here you go." He handed me a sharp knife from his backpack.
Just before Alana could turn around, I felt my hand grip the knife and plunge into her neck. Everything moved in slow motion.
Evan and I made eye contact. Both of our faces were pale and scared.
Blood squirted out of our former friend. I watched as a drop landed on Evans arm.
I dropped the knife on the ground. He would've fallen on the ground if I didn't catch him.
"Woah, hey, it's ok, don't pass out on me." Almost his full weight was on me, but I was able to hold him in place.
Both of our breathing patters were heavy.
Both of us were shaking.
And from what I can tell, both of us feel like we're about to faint.
"I'm sorry, I don't do well with blood. Especially if it's...well...you know." He got off of me, propping himself up on a nearby tree trunk.
"Yeah, it's ok. I get it. But we need to get out of here. Grab the knife." I said in a rushed tone, gesturing to the knife and pulling my car keys out of my pocket.
He grabbed the knife off of the ground, putting it back in his backpack and zipping it shut.
"C'mon, let's go." I grabbed his hand as tight as I could, dragging him to my car and practically shoving him in.
I started the car and pulled out as soon as possible.
We were on the road.
A race against time. And well, the police.
We decided that we're going to leave.
Leave this town for forever.
We're never going back.
We can't.
Oh my god. I'm so sorry. It's been multiple weeks sence I've updated. Omg. I'm really sorry guys, my deepest apologies. Well it finally happened. They killed Alana. And now we're nearing the end of this fan fiction.. That's actually really sad though. It feels like only a few weeks ago I was typing away on my phone, planning out this whole fan fiction. Well see you all in the next chapter! Peace out!
