Walking into my mothers house I was filled with the smell of delicious food, I hadn't been over in a few weeks and it felt good to be here. I had brought Fly along with me because he refused to let me go anywhere alone, I was hoping it was a lot of people here so that I could make a clean break from him.
"Mommy!" I heard Amber's voice, snapping my head towards her voice I dropped to my knees to scoop her into a hug. I hadn't seen my baby in a few days and it had been killing me, I know I didn't spend much time with her while I was home but I missed her not being in my presence.
"Fly what the hell are you doing here?!" I heard my sister Telena yell. "And with my fucking sister! Nigga are you sick?!" I heard her yelling while I sent Amber into the other room.
"Lena baby please calm down you're pregnant" I heard my mother say from the kitchen.
Looking around the room my eyes landed on my sister, pregnant and looking like she's ready to pop anyday. She continued her making her way to us in a wobble motion, I hated this part of pregnancy.
"What's the problem Lena?" I asked her obviously annoyed. Nobody has seen her ass in years and she pops up 9 months pregnant.
"The problem is this low down son of a bitch you came strolling in my mothers house with!" She yelled pushing Fly in his chest. "Calm down Lena. What the fuck are you talking about?" I asked confused looking between her and Fly, waiting for someone to explain.
"You wanna tell her or do I have to?" She asked with a mean mug on her face giving Fly a death stare. If looks could kill he would be dead. Smacking his lips he turned to me grabbing my hands, "look baby I didn't know this was your sister. we were together for a few years, she's pregnant with my baby but we ain't together nomore. That shit been dead" he said trying to convince me.
I was beyond shook at this point, I couldn't believe what the hell he just said to me. Snatching my hands from his I just stared at him, I was disgusted and wanted to vomit. For an entire year this nigga has been sleeping with me and my younger sister. I looked at him with tears in my eyes then back at my sister. I couldn't believe this shit, I ruined a good thing at home for a nigga who's been fucking my sister.
"BEEN DEAD?!" Telena shouted.
"Been dead? You just gonna lie like that?" She continued. "Sis, me and this nigga been together for 4 years... THIS is why I disappeared. I JUST left this man not too long ago, not even a week. So again FLY! WHATS BEEN DEAD?!" She yelled questioning him.
"Look Mr. Fly is it?" Uncle Randy asked him.
"Yes sir" he said cocky, sticking his hands in his pockets.
"I think it's bout time you leave my man, and SHE ... Temeka is staying here" he said causing myself, Fly and Telena to look at him. My sister and I both knew how dangerous Fly could be so we both were on edge about what Uncle Randy had said.
The whole family was now standing and looking at the scene Telena had just caused in my mothers foyer. Fly looked between my sister and I , nodded his head and turned to walk out of the door.
"You sure you wanna stay?" He asked looking between me and Telena, like he was questioning the both of us. After a moment of silence he shrugged his shoulders and closed the door.
I knew it was gonna be some shit after this, Fly never gave up too easy. Which explains why I'm covering a black eye with makeup as we speak.
Turning to my sister I held my hands together in a praying motion and held the to my lips as my eyes began to fill with tears. "I'm sorry sis. I didn't know, I would nev-" I stopped talking and gagged. I held it back and finished my sentence.
"I would never do anything like that knowing it would hurt you. I swear" I pleaded to her.
My younger sister pregnant with her first baby by this nigga Fly and to make matters worse I am too.
"Let's go. Both of ya" my mother said grabbing both of our arms dragging us up the stairs into her bedroom.
"What the hell is going on" she yelled at us.
"Mama .." I began. "Mama my ass. Y'all out here just running around like I didn't raise y'all with sense" she yelled.
"TALK!" She said loudly taking a seat on the bench by her vanity mirror.
"I've been cheating on Antonio for the past year with Fly, I didn't know Fly was with Lena. He appeared to be single. I would never do some low down dirty shit like that on purpose." I said then quickly covering my mouth.
"Watch it now" she said to me for cursing in front of her.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"And you?" She said looking at Telena who's been sitting silent the entire time.
Lena exhaled loudly, "I've been with Fly for the last 4 years" she said and our mouths both dropped.
"So this is the man who made you cut everyone off. I get it now ... I'm sorry sis" I said to her.
"Yes and recently I moved out on him and got my own place. I'm 9 months pregnant... almost due" she told us.
"Well we can see that" Mama said walking towards her pulling her into a hug.
"Okay back to you. Why are you cheating on Antonio he is a good man" My mother asked me with sad eyes.
"I - I don't know" I said to her. Because honestly I had no business cheating on this man, he was good to me.
"I had no reason but I'm getting my karma now" I said looking down at the floor.
"And what does that exactly mean" mama asked folding her arms.
"Well ... because I'm pregnant by Fly too. I'm about 2 months maybe" I said uneasy. "I just took a test and found out" I said while tears fell down my face.
My mothers hands flew up to her mouth and her eyes were buck wide. "TEMEKA OLIVIA GRANT!" was the last thing she said before she hit the floor.
We both gasped and jumped to our feet to check on our mother. "Mama mama" Lena said shaking her.
"Watch out. Go get help, I'll start giving her cpr" I said while dropping to my knees next to my mother.
"Lord Jesus please don't let my mother die" I said to myself while starting compressions.
