*Michael's POV*
I've been trying to call Arielle all day today as well as all of yesterday afternoon. It's weird. She always picks up; it doesn't matter where she is, what she's doing or who she's with. She answers the phone at the most inappropriate times too. I tried calling Luke, I haven't seen him for two days. He didn't pick up either. I was about to give up when a number flashed up on my screen.
*Arielle's POV*
When I saw Luke, I basically had a little fan girl moment. I had to blink twice to make sure it wasn't just my imagination. When I hugged him, I didn't want to let go, and I didn't.
I have the same brotherly connection with Luke as I do with Michael. I've cuddled with Michael many times; it felt so normal to us. Spending the night locked in Luke's arms felt right. Last night was the first night of proper sleep I'd had since they all left to go on tour.
When Luke said that his plans were cancelled; he also said that he had nothing to do for the next three days. I suggested that he spent the next three days with me. I quickly planned the whole next couple of days in my head.
I went out to the garden shed in the backyard and got a piece of rope that was approximately 3 metres long. I went back inside to find Luke. He was in the kitchen on the phone. I got down on my hands and knees then snuck up behind him. I put one end of the rope in a circle on the ground around Luke's foot. I tied a knot and prepared to tighten it. Luke slowly looked down at his foot and quickly tried to move it but I pulled on one piece of the rope making the knot tighten around his ankle.
*Luke's POV*
I was on the phone to Michael getting a lecture when I noticed something on the floor. 'A snake' was my first thought so I stayed dead still. I slowly looked down towards it. There was only a split-second between the time I noticed it was only a piece of rope and it being tied around my left foot.
"What are you doing?" Had she gone mad?
"It's a game. Since you have nowhere else to go I don't see that it's a problem." She held her head up proudly.
"Please explain this game of yours." I motioned for her to continue. She smiled and then bent down. She grabbed the other end of the rope and tied it in a knot around her ankle.
"We are going to spend the next 3 days within a certain distance of each other. Today, its 3 metres. Tomorrow, its 2 metres. The day after, its 1 metre." She explained. I liked the idea.
"All the time?" I clarified.
"Yep." She smiled.
"Well, I'm gonna go shower." I joked.
"No!" She shouted covering her face.
"I was only kidding." I pulled her hands away from her eyes and looked deep into them. The light made them twinkled and gave her bright green eyes and almost fluorescent glow. I shied away from her. Smiling to myself, although, she probably saw it.
*Michael's POV*
"Where are you?" I demanded sternly as soon as I answered.
"In the kitchen." Luke answered simply.
"I mean it Luke."
"I told you, I'm in the kitchen." He defended.
"Luke, I swear to god tell me wh-" I was cut off by the call ending. What is going on here?
*Luke's POV*
I watched Arielle get up off the couch and take a few steps. I felt a short tug at my ankle followed by a thud.
"Ouch." Was all she said.
"Are you alright?" I asked, trying not to laugh at her.
She sighed. "All I wanted was my phone."
"Oh, you can't have that." She looked at me questioningly so I continued. "I also planned a game for us to play. The idea is that we hang out for three days straight with no connection to the outside world. It's about us, and only us. Your whole 'tied together' thing made my idea so much more interesting."
"Really?" She got up and brushed herself off.
"These next three days are going to be fun." I smiled, towering over her. She wasn't tall, only about 5ft 3. Being at 6ft 2, I kinda liked it.
