As I ran through The Castle, I felt my heart beating rapidly in my ears. In a matter minutes, Remus would know what I had been up to these past couple of months. Would he be mad?
I rounded the corner of the corridor and approached the large entranceway that lead into the school grounds. They suddenly looked larger and more daunting than ever. I gave them a slight push, opening them slowly to reduce the creek as I stepped outside into the warm evening. The sun had reduced into the horizon, casting dark shadows over the grounds.
I hurried down the steps, tripping slightly in anticipation, as I headed to where I assumed Remus would be - The Whomping Willow.
I ran past the Black Lake, the wind blowing through my hair. I turned to see if I could spot the Giant Squid but saw my own reflection as I ran. My hair was flying up behind me and I could feel the flush on my cheeks as I ran. I imagined Remus's happy face when I finally told him what I had done. A worry crossed my mind that he would be angry, but I quickly dismissed it out if my head, unwilling to think about it.

As I drew nearer, I felt something drop in my stomach as I saw a group of people outside the Whomping Willow. They shouldn't be so close to him while he's transforming. I slowed down to a stop, my chest heaving from the exercise. I squinted into the distance. There appeared to be 3 smaller figures, a ginger one, who I knew to be a Weasley, was on the floor. A large cloaked figure with curtain black hair hovered above them, unconscious and the larger men were stood opposite each other in confrontation. I began to approach them so I could see better. One of the men was Remus, he looked rather uncomfortable and shock was etched into his face as he continued staring at the two men opposite him. These men were stark in contrast to each other. One was short, fat and balding. He cowered from the other taller, skinnier male. This person had wild curly black hair and old, battered prison clothes. I gasped as I realised who it was.

In these moments where I observed the old friends' confrontation, realisation dawned on me as the full moon birthed from behind the clouds. A blue wash flooded across the entire grounds, painting us all in moonlight. I looked to Remus and his body went rigid.

My heart sank at the events that were about to unfold and all I could think was Remus. I needed to get him away from the children. I reached for my wand, ready to transform but to my horror, I realised I had left it back at The Castle. I was running out of time. Remus's body began to morphe as he screamed in pain and Sirius, aware of what was happening, yelled for the kids to get back as he blasted a spell at what appeared to be handcuffs attaching Ron to Remus and the larger male. It was at this moment I knew I could trust Sirius. The panic hit me, my breathing increased and my chest hurt. I was going to have a panic attack.

No. I told myself sternly, trying to even out my breaths. I did the only thing I could think of and set off at a sprint towards the group, the adrenaline pumping through my veins. I shut my eyes tightly as I concentrated on my Animagus form in my head. I can do this. For Remus.

I jumped, launching myself into the air and spoke "NOW!"

I felt the change happen instantly and I landed straight into a gallop, heading towards the group. I had done it.

I threw myself in-between Remus and the rest, bearing my teeth as a growl tore from my throat to warn Remus backwards. The group looked upon me in shock. Sirius transformed next to me, and together we forced the Werewolf to retreat. The fat, balding man also transformed, he turned into a tiny rat and scampered away, Harry Potter screaming after him. Peter Pettigrew I thought bitterly to myself, but I had more important things to concentrate on.
