It was the new year eve. A dreadful year has finally passed and here comes another. Mom and dad threw a countdown party and invited some friends and families. They didn't want the brothers and their friends to crash their party or pull some stunts and cause trouble so they chased them to another house. Yep they have multiple houses. I chose to go to their party knowing it's probably gonna be way more interesting than the boring adult party.
Sean fetched us all there after school and they started preparing for the party. Soon the house was packed with people. Loud music blasting across the house. Jace and Lexi couldn't come because they had other plans so I guess I'm alone yet again. Unfortunately, Jay invited his bunch of friends, Cameron, Bryce, Axel and the only one I'm happy about, Ryan. I haven't seen Axel for a long time. Not that I don't see him I see him in classes from time to time but he doesn't hang out around Jay that much anymore. Especially every time Jay picked on me, he wasn't around anymore.
"Hey Emma, go get us some punch." Ryan ordered, and I did.
On my way I walked into Ashley. She was wearing a beautiful white dress; she had perfectly curled hair and she looked really pretty.
"Oh hey Emma," she smiled at me exposing her dimples. I've always liked her British accented voice. "Do you know where Alex..."
"Looking for me babe?" He said in a playful manner while resting his hand around her shoulder.
Ashley looked at him momentarily then gently backed away. "Yea..... you're too smiley, goofy and talkative. Hey Andrew, have you seen Alex."
"Was I that obvious?" Andrew pouted his mouth.
I laughed, "I guess you are."
"I need to be cooler." He broke into one of his funny dance moves while Alex came.
"Yes you really need to and that dance is not helping you." Alex insulted Andrew and laughed.
"Hey shut up." Andrew groaned.
"Hey babe." Alex kissed Ashley. "Now please get all of this weirdness away from me and my girlfriend.
We all laughed. Then I quickly went back to Jay and his friends.
"Seriously, what took you so long?" Ryan complained while Jay straight up threw the water to my face causing his friends to laugh. Of course except Axel. But suddenly,
"Ok this has got to stop." Axel stood up. "What's wrong with you Jay. Since when have you become a bully?"
"Since she ruined my family." Jay said inattentively.
Not wanting to be involved in their drama I quickly walked away. I went to our backyard which was a little less crowded. I was drinking my punch while strolling around. Then I saw Alex who was happily talking with some girl, laughing, giggling and kinda like flirting with each other. Not really like him since he usually doesn't interact with girls that much. He only does with a few girls. Ashley obviously being one of them. I saw her getting herself a drink while staring at Alex looking a little jealous. I mean who wouldn't be. But then the craziest thing happened. That girl kissed Alex.
I was shocked for a moment but quickly got my sense back when Ashley cried and ran out. She pushed and shoved people out of the way.
"What the fuck?" Alex pushed the girl away.
As he pushed her away, it was only then he came to realisation Ashley witnessed everything. He quickly ran after her trying to explain. He grabbed her hand and Ashley turned around, tears welling up.
"Let go of me!" She shouted as she shook of his hand. "You said you were getting us a drink. Then you're there flirting with her. Fine whatever, but then you kissed her?" She said with a quavering voice.
