The days are getting longer as I feel myself going mad, surprisingly not because of Draco, because of just how everyone is. The taunts, the looks, just everything. I feel like I'm drowning here.
                          
During lunch I look up to see Blaise pushing a kid with brown hair and a yellow robe around. I immediately stand up and rush over, getting in between the two.
                          
"Hey let's not try and pull something like this okay? We don't wanna lose points." I say keeping eye contact with Blaise, and signaling with my hand for the guy to go.
                          
"What's it to you Y/n? Awww did you get between me and Potter to try and get a grab at me?" He says with a smirk.
                          
"Shut up you bastard." I hiss.
                          
Pansy comes up behind him and punches me square in the nose, I stumble back and leans against the wall. The boy I had moved early came to my side and prompted me up.
                          
I turn to them and go to say something but the boy drags me away. I glare at them as I leave the great hall, noticing Draco walking to them in a tense manor. He seemed almost angry.
                          
The boy takes me to Madam Pomfrey and she just gives me an ice pack. What is with nurses and ice packs?
                          
"Are you okay?" The boy says, as we stand outside of the nurses office. 
                          
"Yeah I'm fine.. are you okay? Looked like Blaise was about to hit you and I got worried.."
                          
"No I'm okay, it's just Blaise being Blaise.. I'm Cedric Diggory, and you're Y/n?" He says unsure of his own answer.
                          
I smile and nod, "yes I'm Y/n Alwyn."
                          
As we start talking I see Draco walking to the nurses office with a worried look, then an immediate source of anger washes over his face as he sees Cedric.
                          
"Beat it Diggory." Draco says coldly, Cedric gives me a soft smile then leaves, presumably not wanting to cause more trouble.
                          
"No need to be rude, it was your follower that caused it." I spat, glaring at Draco.
                          
"I never told him to do that, and why were you that big of an idiot to try and help him?" He shoots back.
                          
"Because I have something called compassion for others Draco, I'm not just going to be a bystander when something like that is going on. Call me a hufflepuff, I could care less, but no one deserves to be treated like that."
                          
He doesn't say a word, he just looks at me, then nods, "alright, let's go back to lunch."

I sit in my Herbolgy class at Draco's side, Cedric was also in this class and him and I have been making faces at each other this entire time. 
                          
I noticed Draco getting annoyed and I just smirked.
                          
I ended up standing while doing my work and I look over at Draco's sliver blonde hair.. it looked so soft and pretty.
                          
He looks up at me, "what are you looking at   Y/n? Get your work done for crying out loud." He huffs and goes back to what he's doing.
                          
I go back to work just to get distracted by his hair again, I think fuck it and start playing with his fluffy hair.
                          
"Y/n what the hell are you doing?" He says, though he doesn't move my hands. I don't say anything and proceed to mess up his hair, twisting and twirling it then fluffing it up.
                          
I felt everyone's eyes on me but I really didn't care, Draco Malfoy's hair felt like silk. I made sure not to pull too hard in case if I hurt him.
                          
He mumbles something under his breath, which gets my attention, "what was that Malfoy?" I say, still messing with his hair.
                          
"Nothing, just nothing." He says, sounding a little embarrassed. I giggle and then eventually stop to start doing my work again.
                          
Draco glances at me and when I return the eye contact he looks away as if he never did at all, what a strange guy. After class me and Draco walk the halls together. 
                          
Out of the silence Draco starts, "Y/n?"
                          
"Yes?" I say and cock my head.
                          
"You're so bloody annoying, I honestly don't even know why I stick around you." He hurts.
                          
Where the hell did that come from? 
                          
"Well, you aren't the most fun person to be around either but you are blackmailing me so I have no choice. If I did, I'd probably be hanging out with Cedric instead of you." I snap back.
                          
He glares at the ground and stops talking, thank god he's finally shut up. We kept walking until we finally reached the Slytherin dormitory. 
                          
He immediately went to his room while I chose to stay in the common room.
                          
Dixie flys in and drops me a letter with a golden wax stamp with a C imprinted on it. 
                          
I open the letter and start reading.

                          
 Dear Y/n,
I noticed  Malfoy didn't really like us talking all that much in person. Not that I thought he'd truly care. But I see you as a friend for sticking up for me.
                          
 If you wish to see me once more, or even hangout let me know, you seem like an amazing person I'd love to get to know further. 
                          
But I do have a question, are you and Draco a couple? I've noticed you and him are basically inseparable, ever since the beginning of the year and well, I'd rather not be on his bad side. 

                          
I felt my cheeks flush at the thought of him thinking me and Draco were even a couple.. I smile at the thought and continue reading.

                          
I noticed in Herbolgy today you were somewhat flirting with him. Not that I care of course it's just, once again I'm curious, I don't wanna step on anyone's feet.
                          
Now I must be off to bed, goodnight Y/n

I smile at the letter I just read. He's so sweet, I really should try and talk to him more. But then I start thinking about what he said about me and Draco.. no never. He's too much of a thorn in my side for me to ever fall for him..
