I felt the flames burn my skin from where I was standing. The text came through right after Toby realized Jenna could be in the burning house. He ran in to check.
"It's from A." Ali let out.
"It can't be. Shana's dead." Emily exclaimed.
How could we be so wrong? How could we think it would be so easy? Shana was A and now Shana is dead, right? Wrong. She wasn't A. She was never A. She was just someone Ali toyed with too much and she wanted revenge.
I couldn't explain the fear that took over me when all of our phones went off at the same time.
"Where's Toby?" I asked Spencer and she shook her head in fear.
"I-I don't know."
Suddenly, there was an explosion almost bigger than the first. We yelled and ducked for cover.
The damage had already been done.

After the police came, Ezra, Caleb and Jason left. The girls and I needed to talk.
Spencer was on the phone with Toby. He's okay and no one was in the house. His dad broke his leg but it could've been much worse. Caleb was with them.
"Guys, what does this mean? That we were wrong about Shana?" Ali asked and held up the A message.
"A's alive and knows that I killed her." Aria exclaimed.
"That's impossible, we all heard what Shana said in that theater." Emily told us. Now that I think about it, she never said it was her.
"No, she never said that she was A. She never used those words." I replied.
"She had everything but the letter painted on her." Emily said back.
"Em, come on! We got a text seconds after the house blew up. Either Shana can cause explosions from the grave or A is back." Hanna exclaimed. I wish this was Shana messing with us from 6 feet under.
"Or never left." Spencer added.
"Well, what are you saying?" Emily asked.
"I think A took a nap and woke up tonight." Spencer replied. I refuse to believe A has just been watching us slowly pick up the pieces of our lives.
"I think A's been here the whole time just watching us...waiting for the right moment to resurface." Aria let out.
"But, why now?" Ali asked. I can think of a few reasons.
"Take your pick. The actual dead girl was revealed and we were just starting to get comfortable back home. I guess we'll never know but we need to try and figure it out." I retorted.
