peter woke tony and the rest of the avengers up in a hurry. thankfully lily had a tracker on her suit so they could find her no matter what.
lily had arrived at the large facility the hydra kept her at when she got kidnapped. she walked in the doors, making as much noise as possible.
"STOP!" one man screamed at her but she just broke his neck with telekinesis, causing the whole place to go down in chaos.
the avengers raced to tony's lab to find out where lily was located. as smart as tony was the time it took to get her location felt like hours. "F.R.I.D.A.Y.! what are lily's vials?" tony asked.
"lily seems to be okay, but her heart rate is up at a large rate. which could be caused by working out or a heart attack," the computer answered.
"well let's hope it's the first one," tony whispered and suited up.
"mr. stark, i'm coming with you!" peter exclaimed going to suit up.
"no way kid. if lily doesn't live... i cant lose the both of you. you've gotta stay here," tony argued.
"no. i'm going, i'm saving her no matter the costs. she means to much to me and i need to save her okay? you and i together. it's better to have a full team then have only half or so. i have to go with you," peter pleaded and tony thought it over.
"okay okay. let's go save lily,"
lily had been in combat with one of the strongest mutations they had tested. she almost fell to the ground, calling defeat but she noticed that his guard was down. so she drove her foot into his chin, causing him to fall to the ground, knocking him out.
she ran through a hallway where a few people spotted her, but that was no problem. she slammed doors and made as much noise as possible trying to get people to go to the sound. but no one came, she assumed the rest of them were in the lab.
once reaching the facilities lab, everyone stopped and lily looked around. they all watched the doors closely, as if waiting for something, or being able to hear what she couldn't.
not a moment later the avengers ran in to help.
"LILY! what did you think you were planning on doing," tony scolded her once they met eyes.
"i was saving the world, you know how it goes," she chuckled and hit the nearest person in the face and knocked them down.
peter swung next to her and kicked down someone that was about to hit her.
"thanks," she smiled and they went back to fighting.
everyone was working together to defeat most of the hydra, tony was in his suit blasting as many helicopters that came in with more hydra agents. the rest of the avengers were outside defeating anyone who tried to escape. peter was next to lily fighting off as many people/mutants they could on foot.
once they had knocked down the last one outside, tony had landed on the ground and ran into the lab. tony and peter began to walk towards her, but before they could draw another step she was knocked to the ground by killian.
"lily, daughter of pepper i presume," he snarled, and lily coughed from his slightly bad breath. "now it's finally time i got a soldier again," he smiled.
"not for long," she kicked him off. she stood up in triumph but that went away soon because another helicopter had arrived.
"the last one.." killian gasped, she looked up through the ceiling window and back down at him, punching him in the face. lily had to act now, she was about to blast off with her new suit boosters, but tony had beat her to it. but she did use her powers to hold it in place while tony was blowing up the engines.
peters eyes flashed with fear, "lily..." he started but lily couldn't hear him. "LILY MOVE GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOW!" he screamed and lily just looked at him and lost her train of thought on the helicopter.
there was a huge explosion in the sky meaning the engine blew up.. and the helicopter was starting to fall. lily darted her eyes back at the sky with fear, she couldn't move. but finally her brain started working again and her arms were up trying to use her telekinesis to stop the helicopter from falling.
but she was too weak to keep it up.
the next few bits seemed to be in slow motion for lily, because this might be the last moment she's ever gonna live.
"peter.. go. it's either me or you and i want you to live," she cried, looking back and forth between the helicopter and him. if she were to teleport out now, who would save peter? it was either her... or him. and of course... she chose him.
"well to bad i'm staying," peter stomped his foot and lily looked back at him.
"peter.. i'm so in love you, don't ever forget that," she smiled blinking tears out of her eyes, that was the first time she had said that to him.
"i'm in love you too," we're his last words to her as she use her last strength to teleport peter out of the facility and outside next to the avengers.
but before he could run back in to lily's aid, the helicopter had fallen through the roof and everything went boom.
they were all right... about how your life flashes before your eyes when you die. lily had tried to run out of the way of the helicopter. but before she could get away from the ground the helicopter was gonna hit, the helicopter had fell on the lower half of her body. she fell down and immediately knocked herself out, looking back at all the memories of her and peter... she had almost made it
the avengers were blown back more into the woods, but peter could not keep his eye off of the facility, he was in shock.
"i'm so sorry lily... my only important mission... failed,"
