The next morning, before Maya could even get up from her bed she heard a sound that was definitely not her alarm clock. She opened her eyes and looked at her phone which was ringing. She picked up the phone and closed her eyes again, falling back into her comfortable bed and answered the phone. " Hello? " She said in a tone that anyone could tell she was asleep just a few seconds ago. " Hello Maya it's me Alex, me and the boys decided that it'll be a good opportunity to pick you up from your place since your house is on our way to EMI if you don't mind ". Wow. Maya needed a moment to get everything straight. " Em yes, of course, thank you " Maya responded. " That's lovely, we'll see you in ten minutes " . What? Only ten minutes? Maya had to hurry up then. She immediately got up after ending the call and rushed to the bathroom. She had no time to shower. She brushed her teeth and put on some mascara and then rushed to her bedroom to change into her clothes. She chose a pair of blue jeans with a knit sweater that her aunt had made for her. It had little hearts all over it and it was beige. 
                          
Once she heard the honk of Alex's car she rushed out of the house and got into the car. " Hello Maya, good morning " Jamie said with a smile. Matt handed to her a coffee and a donut " We got you these " . They were so kind. " Thank you so much guys " Maya said and took a sip of her coffee before she could relax. That was a stressful experience. Having only ten minutes to get ready to see Alex. And the rest of the band of course. " Nice shoes " Jamie said as he looked at her green high top converse. " Thank you " Maya said with a big smile. She was really proud of these shoes. Alex hadn't told her a word. Not even a good morning or a hello. But maybe he was really focusing on the road. That's bullshit, he could've at least said a hello. Once they reached EMI records and parked the car they all went inside the building. The boys went to the recording studio to record a new song for the album while Maya walked to her office. She planned on listening to their other top record titled '  favorite worst nightmare '. She really wanted to get a taste of what the band was like. Get a good impression of their songs and compare it to the new ones. 
                          
" Well well well, look who's here " Jamie said with a chuckle as all of the men in the recording studio turned around to see Maya who was holding her notebook. " I'm here to listen to your new song " Maya said with a smile on her face. The boys started to play their instruments but Alex seemed to not sing on time. " Alex, do you need a break pal? " Andy asked . " I'll go grab some coffee and I'll be back " Alex said before taking his earphones off and walking out of the room. " What happened? " Maya asked the rest of the monkeys as they all exited the recording booth " No idea, he was fine just a few minutes ago " Nick said. Maya decided that she should go check up on him, just to make sure that eveything was okay. 
                          
" Alex, is everything alright? " Maya asked as she noticed Alex who was sitting on the balcony of the cafeteria with a cup of hot coffee in his hand. " Yes everything is amazing Maya " Alex replied, taking a sip of his coffee. " Just got a bit nervous back there " . Maya was a little bit shocked. Why would Alex Turner, who performs in front of huge crowds of people be nervous to sing in front of three people? " Why would you be nervous Alex, I wouldn't judge you or the song " Maya said. She wanted to have the best relationship with Alex so things would run smoothly. " I know you wouldn't, I tend to get nervous around cute girls though " Alex said with a small smirk on his lips, turning to look at Maya. Maya scoffed and rolled her eyes " You shouldn't be nervous around Andy " . They both laughed at her comment. " Oh yes Andy makes me nervous " Alex added as the smirk disappear and a small smile would take it's place. " I wanted to ask, if Andy would like to go out for dinner out sometime " Alex asked. Maya got serious. He did not mean that right? He did not just said that. " Um... Alex... I don't know " Maya replied. She wanted things to become strictly professional, not to go on a date with him, on the second day at work. " It's alright, someday we will go out for dinner, I can feel it in my bones " Alex said with a small and soft chuckle. Maya chuckled too. " We should probably head back to the recording studio right? " Alex asked as he took another sip of his coffee. " Yes we do " Maya replied and started to walk, Alex following right behind her...
